The Monster Club. One of my favorite old cheesy horror flicks.

American Me

Very well done Spanish gang/prison film. I seem to enjoy these prison gang types of movies, and this one was no exception. Good acting, directing, storyline.

Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn

I've always enjoyed this film slightly more than the original for the simple reason that it didn't try to take itself seriously. In the original, it seems like they set out to make a scary movie with a very low budget (hard thing to do.) In this one, they had a bigger budget but seemed to realize the film wouldn't be scary no matter what so they opted for a more comedic horror movie with more one liners and spraying blood. I think it worked out pretty well as this is one of my favorite sloppy gore films of all time...

Great flick. It got the old school monster mash homage down a lot better than Waxwork.

I just got thru Barfly and the Pope of Greenwich Village and I'm gonna give Johnny Handsome a watch next. Mickey Rourke appreciation night haha :D

Hook, with Robin Williams. Such a good movie....Dustin Hoffman is so perfect as Captain Hook. Kind of sappy, but still really entertaining. Perfect for kids.

my kid hadnt seen it before and i was kind of pumped for it after meeting Roddy Piper at the con ..

my kid was bored at first - but as soon as he 'ran out of bubblegum and started kicking asses' he was hooked :)

Alone in The Dark (Sholder)

This film with the superb cast of Landau, Pleasance & Palance doesn't fail to live up to expectations (with such a cast I did expect a lot) - a cracking little gem of a film with some really creepy moments, it might be dated in parts but believe me - this movie is the only 'Alone in The Dark' worth watching. Good performances from the stars this movie according to my literature includes the pre-cursor to Jason Voorhees and his hockey mask wearing adventures. I don't honestly know if it is true but it does make a decent bit of trivia anyway! Certainly made me happy seeing a lunatic in a hockey mask running around - and to not even be Mr Voorhees, well that is special!

Quality movie
