watched this movie today, have to say it bored me to death. i was looking so forward to this with all the hype, and was just left so disappointed.

I really liked that movie. Sorry you didnt like it. That happens a lot with hype i've noticed.

alot of people i know liked it, i found it really dragged. dont think i should have put this under horror.

I enjoyed Super 8 but I did lose interest towards the end so I can see people not liking it.
It was more of a nostalgia buzz for me reminding me of the kids orientated flicks of the 80s.

i was hoping it would be like the 80's flick, to take me back to when i was a kid and it was, but i just felt there was something missing all the way through the movie.

What was probably missing for you was that even though it was a homage to 80's kid friendly monster movies, it wasnt an 80's kid friendly monster movie. It came out in 2011 so of course it's still going to feel like a movie from today no matter how hard it tried to be a nostalgic trip even though i felt like it did a very good job succeeding in doing that.
