I think a screen adaption of Dean Koontz's Watchers could be good, as long as it was faithful to the book and didnt include corey haim...

the only Deen Koontz i kind of liked was one that took place at a roadside diner - something to do with the moon.

more sci-fi than horror.

that would make an entertaining movie i think

I think they gave a decent shot at Phantoms.

Thing is, it actually wasn't scary. As for Ben Affleck...

sorry, i hated phantoms. they deviated unnecesarrily from the story and en\ded up with something that was just another supid teen horror flick.

I didnt hate it per se, although I was disappointed at the end product. It had so much potential but went downhill rapidly.

And the miscasting only added to the movie's woes. One of those which could definitely benefit from a remake with a better director at the helm, ala Frank Darabont maybe?

Off Season by Jack Ketchum

I heard rumor of a Cell movie, not sure if its true though. i'd like to see that.

The Wasp Factory would make a great flick!

There was a production of it showing here the last two weeks, I really wanted to go, but was broke, I might be able to catch it in another city in the next few weeks though hopefully.

Most of Richard Laymon's books. Savage, In The Dark, The Beast House Series, The Traveling Vampire Show, Island, Funland...just to name a few.

I realise you posted this a long time ago but please can you tell me more about this-I've never heard of any production of The Wasp Factory-it was based on the Iain Banks book right?-it would be mind blowing if done faithfully.

Besides holding out for Lovecraft's At The Mountains Of Madness to eventually get made I plump for Insomnia by Stephen King, ditto whoever said Imajica by Clive Barker and The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice but obviously without the bits included in the woeful Queen Of The Damned film that was made.
