Galaxy Quest was genius.

What was that noise?!
Nothing!
But, the creature... Is inside out.
Did he just say the pig lizard was inside out?!
*God awful squeel as the crreature spews fluids*
And it exploded.

:)

Laugh my ass off every time.

One of my favoriteparts is when Tony Shalub starts makingout with Lilari, and guy goes. "Heey guys... get a room... hey, oh.. OH! That's not right!...Oh..."

i love Galaxy Quest ... great movie ..

you do struggle with English Language comedies ..

maybe its a cultural thing for you ?

Shut up, you.

I laughed my ass off to Dodgeball. ;)

But true, i dont get english and american Stand-up comedy/comedians. And i find Danish stan-up to be the most hilarious kind of comedy to watch.

But i donīt get swedish or norwegian stand-up either.

Conclusion: Stand-up comedy is a very cultural thing.

i think this will apply to a lot of movies as well .. Dodgeball was very visual .. it will be an individual thing from movie to movie .. depending on how many of the jokes are topical or culturally rooted. sometimes it's a very subtle thing ..

That might be.

But how can Galaxy Quest be one of those movies???

pretty much .. it played with a lot of the cliches - on screen and off - of the star trek people and their fans

yes. you dont have to be a trekkie to get them. knowing one makes it a lot better though.

knew a guy who was glassy eyed with dreams and envy wqhen Starfleet academy had a big display at the mall one time... fat losers in outfits handing out pamphlets....

I understand poepl in the SCA. I can get people dressing up like leves because they like lord of the rings or dungeons and dragons.

I even get the star wars dorks.

But trekkies are a race all their own. Yes, trekkies. A "Trekker" is a trekkie that for some reason thinks on edork label is offensive, and another dork label is just fine.
