The Deer Hunter

I got the Region 1 Legacy Series 2 disc edition a few weeks ago, and watched it last night. This is a brilliant film. Excellent character development makes you really feel for the characters portrayed. It runs for a shade over 3 hours, but I found myself totally swept up in it. A very potent anti-war film.

The Great Mouse Detective
Vincent Price is great even as an animated rat.

Underworld: Evolution

I liked it. The CGI got on my nerves pretty quick, but otherwise it was pretty enjoyable. Not as good as the first though.

If you have a weak stomach I suggest you leave the snacks in the kitchen.

Massacre at Central High

Low-budget, and unrealistic... but I really, really liked it. This is my third time watching it.

Final Destination 3

well, i couldnt get interested in any of the stars but as in #2 they sure had fun with the gore and inventive 'Rube Goldberg device' killings.

nicely staged crashes too ..

the actors are uninteresting kids - but someone is showing the love for the old school horror vibe ..
