Halloween (2018)

Finally got to see this. It was.....ok.

POSSUM.

Meh. It's got that dreamlike miserable look and feel throughout. I felt pretty let down to be honest.
All a bit Ramsey Campbell.

A bit curious, why just 7?

Hello, you must like this film better than I.

I liked it but it was nothing outstanding nor disturbing enough to get a higher score. I'm glad I finally saw it. I can now check it off my proverbial list. : )

7 is a good score from me.

Yes and no. I didn't enjoy it that much because I am romanian, but I appreciated the fact that they were spot on about the details and that period. For me it is just a bit above 7 and I was curious what was the reason you gave a similar grade to mine.

If you are into romanian cinematography: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0819895/ - a good solid movie. about the same era. And of course the legendary: Filantropica.

I recently watched Revenge (2017) the movie is in a mixture of French and English. Going in I wasn't quite sure what to expect I but I really enjoyed the film. The writing and pacing is good, the cinematography is gorgeous and gives some solid nods to the 80's. There are some really fun kill scenes and good practical effects.

Le jeune Ahmed (aka Young Ahmed) - This is the latest film by the brother pair of Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. They are most well known for movies about social topics. One of the better know examples is their debut "Rosetta" about the life of an unemployed young girl.

Their latest delves into the life of a 13 year old boy named Ahmed who's radicalised under the influence of a local imam. The film does not shy away from showing the darker sides of his behavior, but it also at regular times reminds you that for all intents and purposes he is still a child.

I won't give away the ending, but suffice it to say that it gives you plenty to think and talk about.

Bad Samaritan - I wanted to see this flick since I saw the first trailer.

The two main characters were believable as friends and David Tennant does a good job playing a psycho. Worth a watch.
