You might want to the first 3 Puppet Master movies, Demoniac Toys, Subspecies, The Pit and the Pendulum, Ragdolls. There are other decent ones but I cannot remember them at the moment.

I like Subspecies, the sequels are shit, but the first one was decent.

Anyway, I'm watching My Fair Lady now.

Fantastic Four. 7/10.
Visually brilliant, great soundtrack.
Most accurate: The Thing
Great dialogue, and the ball-busting between the thing and the torch was done to perfection.
A lot of time spent building up the storyline and history, not too heavy on the action surprisingly.
Felt a LOT like the comic, came across like it ended much too quickly, but...overall, pleasing enough...

"Memories of murder" 6-7/10

Was somewhere mentioned together with "Oldboy" and another as the best Korean thrillers.

Well, even though itīs not in the same league as "Oldboy" itīs still an ok crime drama, that keeps you guessing and guessing untill the very end. And after the end iīm still not sure that youīve got the answer?

Anybody seen it? Shanks?

zwoti 07-21-2005 01:22 PM

The pace? In an asian horror movie? it never is. :p

I still need to pull myself together and watch "Silmido". Also an asian war movie.

So what did you make out of the ending of "Memories of murder"?

I got Silmido the other day.

It's been a while since watching Memories. As it was based on actual events around 1986 in Gyunggi.....

***Spoiler***

.....the killer was never arrested, just plenty of speculation, so before watching the film, you sort of know what the outcome is gona be. Dispite this the directiong from Bong Joon-Ho was great.

lol always good to have a bit of background info, before you watch a film ;) ....especially when it's a foreign one, and the brain has to engage subs as well as picture at the same time :p

Balto II - Wolf Quest

Well made DTV sequel to the original animated Balto movie from 1995, but the con is the blend character animation, and a worn out story, as the pro is the Inuit music, and the images who are like taken out of a Urban Trad, or Enigma music video.

Beside the cheap character animation is there some nice 2D/3D background animation of Alaskaīs wilderness, and shamanic dream sequences.

I was born in Greenland, and the movie, including Light Of The Heart (Lysets Hjerte) wanted me to go back there on a vacation if it wasnīt so far away.

If you have missed both the animated Pocahontas movies, skip them, and go for the real thing here!

jenna26 07-21-2005 06:10 PM

Toolbox Murders ('03) Not outstanding, but okay for what it is, I suppose. Definitely worth seeing once.
