Take the 20 or 25 that were actually good based on who's opinion? Mine? I certainly don't pretend that I've seen all of these and ruling something out just because I haven't seen it would make for a pretty lame tournament. Maybe the film you think is THE best, I happen to think sucks ass. Would it be fair of me to eliminate it from the tournament based on my own personal bias?
Not to mention that a tourney with 20-25 films in it would only last like a week or two and then it'd be time to come up with another one already. If I include everything, the tournies take longer, everyone's favorite is included, and I only have to think up a new tournament every couple months instead of every two weeks.
Toxic Avenger 2 wins with 10, High Spirits takes 2nd with 6 and Cheerleader Camp takes 3rd with 1.
