THE NAKED KISS (1962) isn't a bad effort by Fuller either...wild opening!
ASYLUM (1972) Have always enjoyed this, truly one of my favorites by Amicus. Maybe fond memories stem from it being the first "New" horror film I was able to see by myself...Mom didn't want me to see it, but after some 11 year old fussing, she gave in with the old Mother adage "Don't blame Me if it scares You!" It did...and I didn't! Wonderful film and the ending knocked me for a loop, although it can be spotted early on at this stage Clever script by Bloch, creepy scenes ("Frozen Fear" is so over the top), lovely eye candy with Britt Eklund and Barbara Parkins and lastly a wonderful turn by Saint Peter (Cushing) **** |

The Black Cauldron
If I watch something non-horror, I usually don't post it here. That said, I rewatched The Black Cauldron today. As I'm watching this again I'm wondering how I slept at night as a child. But the animation is so good, and the backgrounds just. Classic Disney have the best paintings. End of story. And this movie especially with SO MUCH dark atmosphere had so many fantastic eerie backgrounds! My hands were itching to even feebly try drawing one. But I digress. It'd probably be less traumatic to play for kids the classic Universal Monster movies than this. I of course would anyway. I was raised on it and I turned out just fine. ::smile:: Some gorgeous imagery you might be missing out on http://www.gifart.net/public/media/2...7077874c93.gif http://38.media.tumblr.com/4d2f6b0ce...g9ioo4_500.gif Quote:

Ladies and Gentleman the Fabulous Stains 1982 I finally got around to watching this. I was decent. I guess I had high expectations and was kinda disappointed there wasn't more kick ass attitude from The Stains. The film was slow then fast, slow then fast. Over all, though, it was fun. Diane Lane was so rad. 6/10 |

It's got some Oedipus action going on. I enjoyed it. I like 80's cheese though, IDK about you. The Night Stalker-1972. Death of a Centerfold: The Dorothy Stratten Story-1981. I tried to give it a chance, but Jamie Lee is horribly miscast. Star 80 was so much better. Sad story, very sad. |

Carrie-1976.

NIGHT OF THE COMET 1984
Two sisters face the end of the world together after a comet decimates the inhabitants of earth. Not enough gore but really left me wanting big 80's hair! Pretty watchable. |
JAWS (1975). The perfect film to watch as Summer approaches. Scared the Hell out of us back when and still pretty scary. A true Classic. *****

THEATER OF BLOOD (1973). Great gruesome funny film with one of Vincent Price's best ever turns. Good supporting cast also helps tremendously. ****1/2

TRACK OF THE MOON BEAST 1976
An anthropologist is struck by a small fragrant of a meteor. It is lodged in his head and starts to drastically affect him. The only way I could watch it was through mystery science theater 3000. Then it was pretty funny. |

such a cool movie |
ARNOLD (1973). Weird but fun little movie where LUSCIOUS Stella Stevens marries a corpse and all the bodies start piling up. Not great, but I enjoyed it and lots of performers I like such as Roddy McDowell, Elsa Lanchester and Patrick Knowles. ***
