Hmmm.....Stuntman Mike.

metternich1815 08-08-2013 02:15 PM

Mark Lewis is a great character, but I have to go with Stuntman Mike. I thought that was a tremendous performance by Kurt Russel.

Mark Lewis (Peeping Tom)

Wow, what a shot this is. It's beautiful, isn't it?

What is with you people and voting for characters from fucking Grindhouse?

Michael Emerson.

Michael Emerson is good, but is my least favorite of those. Of the other two, it is a tough call for me, personally. Mark Lewis is an excellent character from a classic (Peeping Tom), but I thought Kurt Russel delivered a very strong performance as Stuntman Mike. On the topic of Grindhouse, I really enjoyed the film (films, if you view them separately), I thought it was one of the best horror films of the past decade. Death Proof being my favorite of the two in the double feature. At the end of the day film and especially characters are subjective. So, while I might disagree with you, I do respect your opinion and will say that all three, in my opinion, are really strong characters.

Hey to each his own man, if you like the film that's cool. I just don't get all the love behind it. I just didn't find it very good but if you liked it who am i to disagree with you.

That's fine with me. We all have those films that everyone seems to love, but we, personally, were not big fans of.

HEYO! lol I didn't even think of that. Good eye for the camera.

I know lots of folks liked Lost Boys, but don't you think Michael Emerson was rather boring and completely unmemorable? I remember Corey Ham, Corey Feldman, Kiefer, and even Muffy from Square Pegs (Jami Gertz), but Jason Patric... who? I can't even picture him in my mind. Just saying...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::

I laughed out loud at this.

MARK LEWIS

***EDIT: I got so carried away with Villain's humorous comment that I accidentally voted for the wrong candidate. Since V has not tallied the votes yet, I'm hoping this still counts. My bad, to everyone involved.

No offense, but on that token I can't believe all the people voting for Michael. In my opinion, he is clearly the weakest of the three characters. I respect your opinion, but, strongly disagree. Even if you dislike Death Proof, I can not see how you can deny that Kurt Russel delivered strong performance (even if, in your opinion, not the strongest). Anyway, I am not trying to insult you or your opinion, merely defend mine. No offense has been intended, of course.

Perfectly fine. The only reason i'm voting for Emerson is because i hated Grindhouse and did not think Kurt Russell put in a good performance. Also i've never seen Peeping Tom. A problem i will soon rectify. The Lost Boys though is still an iconic fan favorite while Grindhouse was a kitschy failed attempt at an homage to old Grindhouse films which i never liked to begin with. It's fine if people want to vote for him, it just surprises me is all.

Yeah, I've never been much of a Lost Boys fan. I saw it a couple times when I was younger, but honestly don't remember anything about it other than I thought it was kinda cheesy. I wonder if I would like it better now. It's been at least 20 years.
