Ever though in reality shawshank and stand by me are the greatest King films.Its hard to count The Shining as a Stephen King movie

Why is it hard to consider The Shining Stephen King? He wrote the book that the movie was based off of. Seems pretty cut and dried to me.

Yes, we all know that Shawshank, Stand By Me, and Green Mile are good movies. They just aren't horror movies.

THAT version of the shining is FAR more KUBRICK than KING......only slivers of the actual book are in the film, the rest is all kubrick....which is good AND bad....

I found that The Shining which was based on Stephen King's book was a huge diappointment. It could have been much much better.

Thats by far the popular consensus, but i liked it....that it had a little more drama and the 217 lady FUCKING OWNED.....jack nicholson carries the first movie...this one seemed, to me atleast, alot more balanced out....
