Burnt Offerings, Trilogy of Terror, House of 1,000 Corpses, Invaders From Mars, Evil Spirits, the list goes on and on. A really great actress who could bring a serious dramatic flair to a role, but wasn't affraid to let it all hang out and ham it up when necessary.

Well said, Never. What I really liked about Karen Black as an actress, or perhaps as a person, is she expertly, or effortlessly, conveyed personal vulnerability in her roles, which endears the film viewer care about the character; we let the character in, suspension of disbelief is realized, and we are in it together with Karen. You can see it. You can feel it. Can you see in these photos?

Terrible news. A great loss to the genre.

RIP Karen. You leave us with plenty of fond memories and nostalgia.

This is shocking and utterly unexpected...

HDC member stygianwitch passed away in her sleep on 06th August, 2013, at her home due to complications arising out of a viral infection.

She was a wonderful, warm, lovely soul who was very friendly, easy-going and had a humble demeanor. She also possessed a lot of knowledge on a wide variety of stuff and you could talk to her about anything.

Through our forum, she had met fellow HDC member tic and both of them fell in love and married back in 2009. Those were wonderful moments...old-timers should remember.

Rest In Peace., Styg. You were and always will be missed.

Not sure we ever really spoke personally, I remember seeing them around though.
R.I.P to one of our own.

Actor Lee Thompson Young, played Barry Frost on "Rizzoli & Isles". Committed suicide, age 29.

I guess I'll never understand what drives someone to take their own life. Very sad. I always enjoyed his character on the show.
