I'd LOVE to adapt "The Killing Joke" not really a book novel-wise, but yeah.

I'm working on just that for an English project, as a matter of fact. Just in the planning stages right now, but I'm getting pumped about it.

I'm also kind of thinking about turning Neil Gaiman's short story "We Can Get Them For You Wholesale" into a stage play...Killing Joke is starting to look like a little more than I have time to take on.

It was worth watching.

I read jurassic Park not that long ago. It would have been nice if it was a bit more faithful, but there was also a lot they would have had to put in. I thought with a bit more character development on Ray Arnold and Dr. Wu, they could have given them good death scene (though wu doesn't even die in the film) and it was a shame they made regis and gennaro into one guy. But anyway, I'd say it's still a superb film.

If they could make it, I d love to see the Dune series being made into films. I adored the Lynch one and loved the mini-series "Children of Dune" back in 2001? I think...

Got both of em on DVD.

Someone like Paul T Anderson with his unique view, or maybe Neil Marshall, Frank Darabont, Ridley Scott...could do justice.

Urge mentioned once that the series got progressively un-filmable, but with the development we have made in CGI these days, I think it can be done very effectively. Each of the books - Messiah, Children, God Emperor, Heretics & Chapterhouse are very close to my heart.

Edit - There was talks about remaking Dune last year, and I posted it here too...

Seems like it never got off the ground after initial talks.

as much as i love Lynch's Dune,

i'd like to see Peter Jackson take a 6 - 8 hour shot at it

Well, iw ould like to see a good movie made out of one of the existing Dungeons and Dragons novels. Dragons of Autumn Twilight was supposed to be out last year, but here it is May of 08 and still nothing.

I think a screen adaption of Dean Koontz's Watchers could be good, as long as it was faithful to the book and didnt include corey haim...
