i did like the Grudge. I thought it was poor writning and that the story did not flow very well. It wasn't even scary, it felt like it dragged on forever.

I'm not sure what it was that you liked about it then?

Ju-On was by far the better film, the Grudge was too simplified introduced a back story that was not needed.

Asian horror really is an acquired taste but is well worth checking out

I liked Ju-On because it didnt tell you too much. However, The Grudge did have a little bit more scary parts and went to explain the story more. Both movies are very good. Not many movies use sound effects as good as these movies. I think "The Ring" has a much more interesting story than both of em.
