My boss has just bought a new mac for the lab and i jus found out its got a playable demo for Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 on it. God my works gonna suffer now. Oh fuck it!!! I've only got 3 weeks left in this hole anyway.

Well.......as someone who knows fuck all about antythin to do with computers......i can safely say........MACS ARE BOLLOX!!!!!

They're sooooo shit. Just fuck everythin up. They only have them here cos they think they're better for taking images an stuff. Mite be true....dow know. Dow care. Give me a PC any day.

But anyway.....as long as i can play games on it....i dont give a shit what it is.

I used to use a mac, a looooong time ago, that is what my parents had (first a quadra, then a g3)

i re-wrote a 12 page short story into a word processor on the quadra, and by the time i was done (i revise as i type), it had grown from 12 pages written to 20 pages typed. then the machine crashed and i lost everything.


I bought my own PC right after than and never looked back... fucking macintosh....

They have a ton of power, but good luck getting software for them, and machines are so godamn powerful on both sides these days that it doesnt matter if you have a pc.

It just seems to me that the macs OS10 have just tried to copy windows but just in a really bollox way. Every little function or supposedly time saving thing isn't time saving at all.

Got a PC at home and I love it. Simple, easy to use. Got XP on it and i've heard mixed reviews bout that but I like it. Getting hooked up to broadband at the weekend so I can finally log on to the net at home rather than just at work.

Xp is the shit. I have been using it at work for 3 years now and we can do almost anything with it. I also know scripting and how to write bvatch files, which automates things... Plus, with my network privs, i can fuck with co-workers horribly....

basically, they are tools built in to windows that let you make the computer do simple tasks on it's own, without having to have any user input. I can make a file that will open up a word processor and type up a paper all by itself.

i did this once and made a co-worker's computer start typing "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." over and over :D

it also allows you to do file-copies and things like that without having to sit and watch it for an hour.

I have used this trick to play some pretty awful april fools jokes on some people :)

I like home edition. I got Microsoft Sam where i can make fun of people walking by my room through a robotic voice. I like to say "Douglas is a couch potato" really loud :D

Both the version of Acrobat i use and MS Word have a feature that will read out loud. it sounds like Stephen Hawking... So i copied the words to that Sean Paul song "Get Busy" (ithink that is the title)

It was fucking hilarious....
