Have you ever eaten something because you were hungry and you knew you wouldnt be able to get food for a while, but you figured it would "tide you over" until you would get to REALLY eat?
I just ate a lunch-sized bag of cheetoes so i wouldnt be hungry.... and now i am fucking starving.. I have shrimp and chicken fajitas at home, but brought NOTHING in to work....
I live 10 minutes friom work, but am too fucking lazy to go home...
And now i must sit here for 4 more hours to go get something to eat....
BUT, i am making bbq steaks with corn on the cob and potato wedgies for dinner, so there is hope.....
Anyway, some of my favorite foods:
Chili dogs
Cheeseburgers.....
Bratwurst
Pizza
Braunsweiger
tacos
Havarti
BLTs
Surf and turf... I made Lobster tails and Filet Mignon once.. both were cooked ina butter sauce (wrapped bacon around the fillets), with a spring mix salad (in a home made olive oil vinegrette with chopped cashews) and bacon wrapped scallops on the side.... it was 100% home made, and still managed to cost close to $40, but it was worth it :)

I had a meal called "Catfish Acadiana" in New Orleans. It was a catfish filet, breaded and fried, smothered with a shrimp and a butter sauce.... side dish was spicy cajun homefries.... it was amazing.

That sounded like "Reality Check" on Mad TV with the two fat black women.
"oo wee! That was so good, itmakes me want to jump up and kick you in head!"
Never had deer hash. Never had deer for that matter. I am a huge fan of canned corned beef hash though. Total comfort food :p

Uh, I dunno about the BEST stuff I've ever made, it's ALL pretty good - but I'll give u a rundown on my last dinner party?
For entree's , we had some grilled turkish bread with garlic and corriander, & a fresh vegetable platter:
*Red and yellow capsicum (u call 'em bell peppers I think)
*Zuchini
*Whole yellow grape tomatoes & roma tomato wedges
*Spanish onion
*Cucumber
*Lettuce
*finely sliced garlic
*sliced carrots + celery
*Mixed olives
*Danish fetta cheese
With my own home-made guacemole & REAL (can't tell u what's in this one...secret) red wine vinegarette.
I guess you could say for starters, we had oven baked pre-marinated thai red curry chicken wings, & thai fish cakes with a couple of (yet again home-made) dipping sauces.
For the main meal, we served Indian, all made from scratch in our case, but I'm sure some good jarred stuff would be almost as good, my girl and I are just way too into our cooking...
We had spicy chilli pappadams, steamed saffron rice with cloves, cardammon and green sultanas over which was served a mild lamb korma (with kangaroo), and a butter (mekhan) chicken sauce with mixed steamed vegetables. On top, we had some peices of oven baked pre-marinated spicy tandoori chicken (thighs as I recall), with lemon juice and a corriander & basil garnish.
For dessert we made chocolate puddings with caramel cages and chocolate/orange sauce served with a side of sliced yellow kiwifruit and strawberry, on top of which was whipped cream, and my own fruit dressing made outta fresh mint, lemon juice, a touch of frangelico & cointreu, brown sugar and passionfruit (this one is so good, I don't mind giving it away), I ground some fresh nutmeg & cinnamon over the top too.
Sorry not to keep it simple, but I'm sure you'd like it.

Godamn cheebs, that sounds good....
I made grilled fajitas the other night (also with homemade guacamole, complete with roasted jalepeno :))
the chicken marinated all day in lemon and lime juice, cayanne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and kosher salt.
i made a similar glaze for the chicken an shrimp while they grilled (it had maple syrup in it to make it caramalise)
We had cheese, sour cream, salsa, hot sauce, spinach (rather than lettuce), vine ripened tomatoes, mexican rice, and some nice warm fajita tortillas. Oh yeah, and some sauteed green bell peppers and onions (with cumin, they tatse just like the ones you get at chili's)

By the sound of ^THAT^ you didn't need all that much help, but hey, if you can use any of what I said, glad to be of assistance.

Im always looking for new things to try. my experience with eastern food is practically non-existant.
I have always wanted to make my own curry from scratch....

Then DO it, man....Trust me, "real" curries are on another level, that's all I'm gonna say, but b4 you start, go buy yourself a heavy stone mortar and pestle, you'll need it.
Eastern food eh? Any nationalities in particular?
I know some pretty cool thai recipes myself, but have followed recipes from korea and vietnam also. If you want, pm me and I'll send some your way.

ps: try the fruit sauce, it's great....just love pimpin' my own shit...
