I work for an ISP in Michigan. I do tech support for cable internet services. I'm the phone monkey you talk to when you can't get online. If you go to school, tell us what grade and school please (unless you don't feel comfortable doing that).
What do you do, ladies and germs?

Thanks...it's just like any job, you get use to it after awhile, (in a way). I worked Max for over 10 years, got what they call security pay, $1.00 more per hr. It's actually pretty boring. Everybodys locked down all the time, little or no movement. Were I'm at now has lots of movement, sometimes 3-4 or even more fights a day, especially in the hot weather.
Shipping manager for a manufacturing co., here in little Rhody.
Thats why I'm hit or miss on-line here. It gets busy, I'm off the computer. My weekend job consist of trying different beers, hanging with family & friends whilst drinking said beers and watching horror movies when the chance arises.

Dude, you guys DO NOT get paid enough to do what you do, last thing I want to do is be in charge of a bunch of murderers just waiting to put a shank in me.
Me, Auto technician for almost 18 years now, I work for a VW,Isuzu, Kia dealer in the far South Burbs of Illinois. I drive 75 miles north to work everyday, were I live there is not much work.
I live on a farm in a town called Charlotte, Illinois, if you can find it on a map I will give you a quarter. Its a small farm approx. 135 acres, we grow corn and soybeans, and we raise egg laying chickens. No other livestock, next year I think we may start to raise angus beef, not sure yet.
My lady is a accountant for a property management firm not far from where I work. She has an animal rescue group that she started, called the Critter Ranch. She only does small animals no dogs and few cats. We have enough of those.
Someday I hope to finish my second muddragster and go racing full time. Do something for myself for a change.

gonna get my AAs in criminal law and administration of justice. the closest i could get to my BA in either would be criminology in that hellhole UCI that i spent my first year in. never going back
yeh the phyhsical tests are gonna kill me. maybe if there was a dancing section, but there isnt. anyway my BA will be in psych, which baiscally gives me more time to be a lazy asshole.

Well I used to be an arborist for seven years doing power line clearance, climbing trees and cutting them down, clearing dangerous tree limbs from power lines......The money wasn't to bad but for climbing over the top of four phase power lines I deserved a lot more, I loved the climbing part though, nothing like being high up in the air by yourself with only your thoughts and a chainsaw, and the occasional squirrel or bird ....
I left that job a few months ago, now I install and repair fiber optic phone lines...Not quite as adventurous but the pay is excellent....I will get to do a bit of climbing on this job hopefully, Charleston SC is building a new Cooper River Bridge, a fucking monstrous bridge at that, and hopefully we are gonna get the contract to run the fiber for the cameras that are supposed to be installed on it...If we do I'll be climbing to the top of that fucker everyday for quite a while....

I'll agree with the pay thing. In all my time there have been 2 c/o's killed while on duty, both stabbed. Had a female c/o shoot herself in the face with a mini-14 while working in a tower a few years back, wow what a mess, (she lived by the way).
Contact your State's Dept. of Correction and ask if they have any tours of a facility available, or see if you could arrange one for a youth, school, church group. We do this on a regular basis, and also have an offender group called , "the horses mouth" which travels to schools and youth gatherings. We travel in a heavily armed caravan, with the offenders all restrained, and ganged chained together. The armed c/o's go into the room, The supervisor with the group explains to those present, not to talk, or make eye contact etc... The unarmed c/o's escort the offenders into the room. and remove the restraints. Kind of a scared straight thing. Some of the kids really respond, some don't.
All in all, it's been an OK career, but I'm putting in my 20, and moving on to greener pastures.
