View Full Version : Who thinks the maximum file size for your avatar should be increased?

My fellow HDC members,
I have run into this too many times. The maximum file size for your avatar is 20k. This is just WAY too small. So I'm starting a petition to get the file size upped to 100k. I would like to use an anigif I just made, but even at 8 bit color, which is the lowest it will go, it's still 34k.
Do you think it should be raised?

i put no because there was no middle
i think the size is fine as in 100x 100. however the quality itself should be raised u know what i mean?
like allow longer gifs, better quality photos etc... but yeh im on another forum and there are long, tall, big ass fuckin avaatars and its annoying as hell.

Yes i have some awesome ones but they are too big because their too long. For this i frown :(

File size, not the actual size of the picture. The larger the file size, the higher quality you can have, doesn't necesarily mean bigger.

I actually suggested this in the site suggestion forum. Maybe this will be more effective. i think 40-45 k would be more than enough.

tbh it doesnt really bother me too much, since I cant see the animations anyway....firewall etc. But if you guys want the image quality KB size upped so you can use your anims... then I'm all for it :)
