okay, I've been watching horror movies since I was 5 so a death seen with a person is, you know, *ooh* ordinary, pretty cool, etc. but when an animal dies I get really sad and I need to hold my pet.....am I the only one?

meh...the pet part. Still sad to watch people die. But animals is more sad because they cant defend themselves, plus they have done nothing wrong..

also there was a movie where someone had gone to an animal shelter (I think it was a Steven King movie) and the cage of kittens was full of diced up kitty bits, it made me sick for a pretty long while and it still makes my stomache upset when I think about it

Not a fan of animal death scenes either, althought the cow scene in Oh Brother....Where Art Thou (not horror, I know) was quite hilarious to me

The cow scene in Me,Myself,& Irene was pretty damn funny too.

:( I still cant watch all of Slave of the Cannibal God because they gut a lizard and a monkey gets eaten by a snake. Poor defenseless monkey....

Pet Sematary 2. One of my favorites :) I always hated that scene too though.

On an episode of The Shield, (on FX) last year, the male detective killed a cat, in the middle of the night, because he had been interrogating a serial killer. The killer explained some of his reasoning for killing and the power he feels over his victims, looking in their eyes as their life slips away that kind of stuff. Killing an animal was an example he gave. It was really a very realistic scene that was real creepy.

Wow, I totally agree with that, that was one of the most disturbing things I have seen on television. I thought old dutchy boy was losing it.

I had to put my dog to sleep a few years back and I stayed with her the whole time. Here is this 120 lb Rott, big bad ass dog right? She was shaking like a leaf, her life slipped away so fast you would have missed it if you blinked. Cried for 3 days after that, had the dog for 10 years and it took me almost 5 to get another dog of my own. Cant replace her though.

LOL @ Wicked Lady...This is certainly no worse than you getting all pissed off at your Grandmother because she killed a snake...Let me see if I remember how that went...

Wicked Lady: I can't BELIEVE that she killed a poor, innocent, defenseless snake...It wasn't even bothering anyone...Why couldn't she just leave it alone?...I can think of some PEOPLE who deserve it a LOT more!

Yeah...I remember...That was EXACTLY how it went, except that I left out the part where you actually started naming the deserving candidates...lol :)
