I think along with Texas Chainsaw,DEadalive and evil dead 2 The Exorcist is my favorite all time scary movie. That Movie Curtled my Blood when I say it as a youngster and it did the same thing when I saw the Added scence version in the movie theatre some time ago...what are your thoughts.

It is a helluva scary movie that actually does live up to its reputation. I'm surprised Hollywood hasn't announced a remake of it....bastards.

there all great movies Excpet Scream I didn't care for it to much. But I hope to god (No pun intended)that they dont remake The Exorcist.Halloween is a great horror Movie one thing that always got me is she see's micheal from the class room, behind the bush and staring up at her from the backyard so when she's on the phone and the little boy she is babysitting comes in and say's the "Boogie man's out there." you think she would have dropped the phone and ran to the window.since she seen hime 4 times that day.....Just a thought..
I know I would have.
P.s. I think the cheerleader friend is so nice looking. It's a shame she had to get her's/

The exorcist is a classic and was ahead of its time, I love this movie so much.. anyone who doesnt have the new DVD "the version you have never seen" needs to get it.... the part where she was stabbing her crouch and saying "FUCK ME FUCK ME FUCK ME!!!" is great.....

I really liked the exorcist(1973). I get really pissed at those who look upon it as a comedy(many people here in norway do so)

Well they did have that "newer" version they released in the theatres about 2 years ago. I remember it had that one really freaky scene where she ran down the stairs backwards and upside down. I loved that part.

yeah my favorite prt of the spiderwalk is when they are still talking there in the hall and you see her out of focus coming that is really creepy then when she gets to the bottom of the stairs and spits the blood....if she was my kid....that's it I'd pack a bag and through it out on the porch..when a kid does the spiderwalk backwards down the stairs and spits blood at you there is nothing your parenting skills are gonna do to fix that!

Halloween is a great Movie,But The Exorcist was one of those based on a true story things were when you were younger you said Holy Sh*t this could possibly happen...not that a killer in a mask couldn't happen. But you know..and what about the Heretic the coolest part of that is when regan is under hypnosis and they young regan has ahold of her heart...anyone remeber tht?the rest the Movie I snored through..
and speaking of halloween what the hell was that all about making number three and having nothing to do with Micheal Myers?

didn't see that thread.yeah man that movie was off subject that would probubly be a good thread Movies that were made, from an original that go completely off the subject.
like Texas Chainsaw 3 with Mathew Mawhatsahey and rene zellweger.man I could go off on that trash for an hour. For instants the letherface mask is horrible in that.and the guy that played him terrible..no one will ever out do gunnar hansen.......
I bet mathew and rene wish that movie was barried in the desert somewhere..

I would have to agree, the Exorcist is one of the best horror movies ever. Linda Blair was brilliant!

Ya this movie is a classic, probably the most successfull horror movie of all time. The first half is incredibly slow tho. The only reason i dont watch it more often. The crucifiction/masterbation scene is classic.

I saw this for the frist time when I was about 8. I didnt think it was that scary for a while, but after the Spiderwalk scene it started turning into a very creepy movie. I think its very scary and very well made and all that, but I just dont like it for some reason.

I saw it when I was about 5 and i do NOT like the priest's voice when he says" I've come to excroise the demons!"
