Hello -
This just came to my mind. Every Steven King movie I have seen made me laugh. I haven't seen all of them, I think, but I've seen several, like Dreamcatcher, Sleepwalkers, The Red Rose (it was called something like that), It, etc. I've seen much more but I can't think of it right now.
Whenever I see a movie based by a book from Steven King, it goes "FROM THE COMPELLING NOVEL BY STEVEN KING" or something similar, saying Steven King is very good and scary. But whenever I see a Steven King movie, I come out of the cinema laughing, or wondering... How did that flesh eating virus from Dreamcatcher turn into some huge alien civilization with some alien trapped in a kid's body? But usually walking out of the cinema, from something non-Steven King based, I am thinking "Wow, all along the poor wife didn't know her husband was the devil" (from Gothika).
I've read a few Steven King books, Doroles Clairbourne, to name one, and they are better than the movies based on his books. I just wonder why people think Steven King's movies are supposed be so good. Everyone Steven King movie I've seen has been disappointing, or ended very crazily (like on Dreamcatcher and Sleepwalkers).
I think the most hilarious Steven King movie by far is "IT". About the freaky killer clown! Though that movie is quite old and had an effect on me when I was little. I was sitting on the sofa watching TV with my parents and I was maybe 4 or 5 years old, and when I saw this scary looking clown kill a little girl, I was afraid of clowns when I went to the Circus a few weeks later!
What do you think of Steven King and his movies? Oh and post some movies based from his books that I can watch, and maybe my opinion on Steven King might change
