Ok, so terminator 2 is showing here now, and it's down to the steel factory bit towards the end, and I see something that I'm reminded that I'm really pissed off by....well, not the thing itself, just something that DIDN'T happen.
Before T3 came out, I was sure, I mean SO fucking sure I knew how they would make the storyline continue past #2, now, after having seen #3 a while back, I'm convinced now that it's downright STUPID that they didn't use this clearly OBVIOUS idea.
(And no, it's NOT that the t1000 could have reformed if ever the molten steel cooled down)
Just watch t2 again sometime for those that don't have it memorised...Look at the condition the ?t800101? (Arnie) is in at the end of the film while being lowered into the molten metal....he's missing an arm that he wrenched off after having
it stuck in some big gear/cog thing = perfect opening for #3.
So...each and every time I see t2 or t3 again, I'm reminded of this - pisses me off.
Something else funny I just noticed - how the fuck did he give the thumbs up while sinking? Assuming he wasn't instantly liquified, (which he wasn't, hence his ability to GIVE said thumbs up) If he let go of the chain, wouldn't he have fallen backwards, not sunk slowly down steadily in a relatively upright position?
