Things I can't believe:
1) I never met a cheese I didn't like ... and I have not yet responded on this thread.
2) Absolutely NOBODY mentioned provolone in their discussion of sandwiches.
3) Absolutely NOBODY mentioned cheese fritters that are FUCKING AMAZING! (available at any restaurant worth its salt)
4) It took forever for someone to mention Parmensan! Here's a quick, easy dish that I invented:
Boil up a heap of egg noodles.
Melt a huge scoop of butter in the noodles.
Pour in some fresh, shredded parmesan (although a pile of the grated stuff works well) and let it melt.
DELICIOUS!

hahaha...one of my teachers would eat cheese with apples. i heard it was a european thing and was yummy if it's the good cheese. i've never tired it tho...i like my cheese on broccoli, or in sandwiches and other things...but apples? maybe one day...

Hmmmmm .... I've never tried it, but I bet it would be good with the sweeter cheeses (like cream cheese, for example.) I don't know if I could handle a slice of sharp cheddar on an apple wedge ... seems like they would disagree too much,

It is a european thing, or a "trendy" one over here. You are supposed to eat a tart apple like a granny smith with sharp cheddar, monchego, or a cheese like that. The flavors contrast each other. it's not bad, but not really my cup of tea.
