yeah I know what you mean. It's not here till the 13th
last year I did get a glimps of it in action on my bros Pc , with that leaked alpha etc, but that no way represented the final build
I've seen many copies of it circulating on torrent sites... but I shant download it, no way!! this game, for me, will be the beginning of a new era in gaming, all the memories of blasting monsters on the lan way in to the early hours of the morning in doom 1 & 2 will come flooding back. This game is gona rock and I.D. deserve full credit for this game so I plan to buy it.
:)

Same here. i also saw the Alpha. All it did was make me want a real copy more.
If i had seen a copy of the HL2 beta, i think iwould have destroyed that person's pc. Delay my game for another year, will you, you prick....

This is one of the few games that I will actually pay for as well. I just find the rest in Mexico.

i think so. A bunch of guys in Germany got busted for it too. In European countries, some of them at least, it is now a 3 and a half year prison term to pirate games.
I got tired of pirated software maybe a year ago.I stopped bothering. I found i wanted too much that came with full versions, plus my conscience caught up with me.
stupid conscience.....

I'd be happier with the dollar.
Its up to thedeveloper to make a game WORTH buying, Diablo 2 is still selling for 20 bucks... Doom 3 will also be one of those that I probably end up buying, I can only imagine how much money I would have spent unsatisfied had I baught Unreal tournament or Unreal 2 for that matter, Tron 2.0 was cool but again, not worth the price they were asking at the time. They were alright, nothing special though. Not worth paying 50 bucks for a game your not exactly sure about. If you could rent PC games then it would be another story.

Renting video games would never work, not pc anyway. the reason the prices are so high now is because of all the piracy kicking around, renting them would only increase it because no one would actually have to buy the game to rip it, they could throw down a few bucks, take it home, burn 15 copies then return it the next day.

Word of warning though:
I have a Geforce 4 Ti-4200, XP 3200+ and 512 MB of RAM and the game hitches at 800x600 max detail. Prepare for your system to get RAPED.
Also, my stepdad has an XP 3200+, 1GB of RAM, and a Geforce FX 5950 Ultra and the only difference is his doesn't jerk at 800x600. He still can't really go any higher than that and have it be playable.

doom 3 is gonna kick ass but halo 2 will be better
I know I'm only 46 but after playing Doom 3 for just 15 minutes I'm thinking of going to the store and pick up some Depends.[which is an adult diaper for the uninformed] Because I came close to shitting myself a couple of times already. So far this game rocks and is creepy as hell [ literally ]. The game looks great but I did boot out to my desktop a couple of times. Might have to update my video driver.

I'm having the same issue. Make sure to use the quicksave button, and use it OFTEN.
