Well? What is you favorite method of death in horror movies/books?
Personally, I've always loved the act of gutting someone.

Gotta go with evisceration (upside-down...One slit from groin to sternum and the guts all just fall out over their face...Hmmm..Then they could be strangled with their intestines)...How about evisceration AND decapitation?...Works for me:)

Gutting is always great, but a well done decapitation is a beautiful thing ;)

Well ...... it's not exactly a single death, but it is a good scene from Master of Lies by Graham Masterton. A husband and wife are forced at gunpoint to kneel on their living room floor by an unknown intruder. This intruder has their kids tied to the wall, and he threatens to kill them if the mom and dad don't do what he says. So, mom and dad get on the floor on hands and knees and this intruder nails them both to the floor with railroad spikes: one through each hand, and one through the back of each knee. He then rapes the wife, forcing the husband to watch, and then he burns the kids alive, forcing them both to watch. Then he slits their throats. That was the most disturbing scene I've read.

i do hafto say decapitations look like shit on movies however especially with the recent events i especially dont care for them
i woudlnt say its my favorite, but the one way that really disturbs me for some reason is either hanging or drowning. for some reason the image of either, hanging obvious but drowning i mean holding them down in a toilet/sink/tub and then seeing the bodyh slumped over... those disturb me

I gotta go with evisceration as well. Gross, blood, and if what I've heard about bowel juices, smelly as well.

Wow!! That's crazy!
I don't care for beheading or gutting a person...it's been done too much. I enjoy new and different ways of death. That's why I liked Final Destination 2 so much.

I agree there. Just the insane ways that the writers came up with to kill the people is intreasting. Airbag deploys and jams the girls head through a jagged piece of PVC pipe.

evisceration has been done to death, and after you clean a kill its all old hat. I have to go with anything thru the throat, the victim usually stands there and trys to scream but cant because their lungs are filling with fluid. Kevin Bacon comes to mind in 1st friday the 13th. Arrow thru the throat cant be beat. Also a machete thru the shoulder blade to the sternum is good. I really appreciate a good impalement though like in The Omen, the good father gets a rather large piece of (metal pipe?) thru his body and into the ground. Anything that has to do with farm equipment, they can do some nasty damage. I still want to see someone thrown thru a tree shredder, one of the big industrial ones, that would be messy.

one of the best decapitations i've seen was in the last samuri. also i used to work at a paper mill and a man fell off this building and impaled himself on a piece of 2" pipe. it went in through his groin and exited his shoulder. the funny thing is it missed all of his vital organs, and the man still works there.

I would have to say the kind of death where the victim is gets scared before they die. I mean reall scared. Like with Freddy Krueger does to his victims. Scares them almost to death by invading all their dreams and then killing them. But decapitations is a close second. Or someone being teared apart by animals or something. Like in Hellraiser. I may not be a big fan of Hellraiser but the scene where that guy was ripped in sheads by those chains was priceless. Also when those guys got eaten alive by worthogs (or some kind of pigs) in one of those Hannibal movies. Actually I think it was either 'The Silence of the Lambs' or 'Hannibal'. But if I recall I believe it was in 'Hannibal'. Don't know. Either way I'm sure you know what one I mean. I'm going to have to watch those again.
