I highly recommend Ginger Snaps or May. Donnie Darko is a good one if you want a strange mind movie.

Go for "Dead End", if you have not seen it yet ... modern, creepy and fun ...

... I would have suggested asian films, but I guess subtitles are no good for a party ...

The Eye is great if you want to watch a foreign film!

May, Session 9, The Ring,...........and there are many many great old ones!

Go with Freddy vs Jason. Your getting two killers in a gory modern horror movie. Its a win win situation.

I havn't seen it either.
A movie I suggest is the remake of NOTLD. I think the original sucks, remake is good though.
Or not horror, watch Kill Bill, fucking awesome

Well, if itz modern horror you want, the remake of House on Haunted Hill is a great, however underrated, example. Try it sometime, you wont be dissapointed!

The remake of house on the haunted hill sucked ass. don't watch it - it's a disgrace to the original.

some guy earlier on suggested the thing (the 80's carpenter affair), gorey and full of jumpy moments. yeah go for that.

The Exorcist
Nosferatu (its silent, so I'll bet that's a no, but it's scary)
Psycho
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Original... it's very different from the remake... far scarier.
The Omen
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? I don't think it's actually classified as a scary movie, but it's pretty scary nonetheless.
IT, although the ending is campy
Rear Window
28 Days Later
Resident Evil

However, for some reason I get the feeling these classics (with the exception of the last two which aren't classics yet) will be lost on you guys, so perhaps you should stick to something new like Cabin Fever or Christina's House.

Rosemarys Baby
I spit on Your Grave
Night of the Living Dead

I would go with the first Sleepaway Camp. I wouldn't call it scary, but it would bring the room alive... especially the end! :D
