Good things recently

I know ALOT of us have had some pretty shitty times recently, but things are starting to look up for some of us. I'll start things off:

Friday my Fiance and i are closing on our house. We should be moved in that night :)

Effective Monday morning, I got a promotion and raise. No longer am I a lowly helpdesk person, I am now officially a programmer, and mybase pay jumped from 30,000 to 40,000 :)

I am alos now a mere 5 minutes away from work (okay, i will be friday)

AND... Doom 3 comes out on tuesday :)

hmmm...lets see....
I start my two week vacation friday.
I can now buy beer on sundays in my state.
I just got a call from my mechanic and my car will cost under $100 instead of the usual $300 ti fix.
All four of my kids are healthy. [that probably should have been on the top of my list, shows where my prioritys are ]

Oh....and DOOM 3 comes out on tuesday.:)

I gotta start back teaching on August 5th (although my first teacher day is the 2nd).

I found out that I was given an accelerated English course to teach, which means I have to teach Wuthering Heights right at the start of the new school year .... I read the first 80 pages of it last night.

The people who have occuppied the house we are moving into have decided that they don't want to leave .... although they don't seem to realize that they don't have that option. I will be getting a court order soon to have the sheriff throw their stuff in the yard.

I finally got my graphics card to work while I was sitting on hold with tech support for an hour and a half. I got it working myself. They never came to the phone.

Saw a preview last night for the new Exorist. YAY!

My drummer FINALLY moved up and we finally have a band now, not to mention we have a keyboardist who is rabid at the idea of playing with us....

We FINALLY found an appartment big enough, as 4 people living in a one bedroom is a bit......claustrophobic, lets say....

Ghost in the shell the Series is FINALLY making its way to the states, though i haven't the money to buy them:(

Someone close to me recently gave up their faith, and while i think this is a terrible thing, we certainly do fight ALOT less....so i dunno...

Oh and Doom 3 comes out tuesday:p

Got a promotion/position change which will be final next Friday. ALSO no longer a lowely helpdesk pleeb..moving into CONSULTING. Also a pay raise, which is always good...and LOTS of travel!! WOO HOO

Hey, in my case it ONLY took 3 years of back-breaking 45-50 hour work weeks while doubling as a web master and learning c# and ASP .Net on my own....:)

To each his own :) i dont think it is a requirement, just how i felt. See, I had been seeing pictures of Arioch on stage... And i saw, what i thought was, a fair young blonde woman.

Arioch was extremely cool about it.

Its because im secure in either one....im definitly the only person i know that can pretty randomly go into either male or female bathroom without being noticed....its just me...i cant really explain it, i've just never been completely one or the other...
