When I want to log in, I go to the members list, find my name and then click on user options. Isn't there any easier and faster way to log in? If it is, I can't find it.

at the forum index, right at the bottom is a log in box. just enter your username and password.
the site uses cookies to log you in, so when you log out this cookie is cleared which then requires you to log back on when you return. personally i never log out, i just close my browser (or go to another website) so when i return i am automatically logged in.
of course this is a security issue because if you leave the cookie then anyone who uses your computer would be logged into the forum.
