It depressed me, but it made the movie for me. Its my favorite horror movie for tons of reasons, but the ending made it unique and special.
I have to think about this one, I'll post later.

LOL! I think him getting killed was the most awesome thing to happen to the horror industry! It eliminated the idea that a movie always had to end happily!
The first time I saw it, I was completely shocked/surprised and it was the last thing in the world I expected, but that's what was so great about it! Romero's the man.
In House of the Dead, I hated the part where I payed money, and then actually sat through the entire movie waiting for it to end, all the way up to the part where I walked out of the theatre feeling robbed and out to my car. That part pretty much sucked.
Freddy Krueger.

Fried Green Tomatoes when Chris Odonnel got hit by the train.
Lord of the Flies when poor little Piggy got killed by that boulder. (That was such a wussy way to kill someone. The kid just pushed the boulder down on him. I actualy felt sad for that kid. A man (or male kid) should fight their battles with their fists. No weapons should be used. Take it like a man. )

Well, the one which sucked the most...
In Prom Night 3, when that demon girl is going downstais and grows claws... Just laughable...
Also, in the end of Jason X, when they`re wathing him come closer through the window...

Yeah that part momentarily looked as if it might suck, but then it was instantly redeemed when that black astronaut guy came out of nowhere! I laughed so hard at that part! Almost as hard as when the cryogenically frozen Jason still manages to chop someones arm off.

in the original version of night of the living dead, ben had to die. the whole movie was a political statement on the oppression of the african american. the "zombies" were supposed to be the black man threatening the white world in general. i could explain more, but i just dont have time now, maybe later.

Very true. They're good but overhyped. Except Unbreakable. I wasted 3 bucks and 2 hours of my life on that steaming pile of crap. I think everyone hates at least one of his movies, but everyone hates a different one

I like Dracula 2000. But I thought that the ending sucked. The whole fight sequence lasted for about 2 minutes. I waited the entire movie, for "the final battle scene" and I was so disappointed in it, it sucked.

Agreed....thats what makes the movie fucking GREAT.....bram stokers dracula, i thought dracula went down a little easy for the build up they had towards the ending climax....
All i can think of right now...

Mine would have to be the whole zombie baby thing in the remake of "Dawn". Almost completely ruined an otherwise great film, for me.
Egekrusher
07-18-2004, 06:39 AM
I thought the zombie baby was an excellent idea, actually. Someone becomes pregnant before becoming a zombie, and then is tied down until the baby can be delivered once they become one.
Good idea, with bad execution.

About David Bowie...The Hunger was a waste of my time. I rented it only because he was in it (since he's perfection and all...) and he becomes all wrinkly only after 10 minutes. I was sad.
I didnt like the ending of the Exorcist. but that's just me I suppose.

The Village. All of it.
Ok, seriously:
*spoiler warning*
In Hostel where the maimed girl kills herself. I was like...what the hell did he risk his life to SAVE her for!?! Stupid bitch! She could have at least done something important in those few extra minutes she got to live (... like, I don't know, save the main character's life or something) but no, she was just luggage. Ugly luggage at that.

I'll agree to a certain extent. Up until the ending, I thought The Village was a decent movie. I really like films set in that time period. That crappy ass twist-for-the-sake-of-a-twist ending damn near ruined the whole movie for me though.

She did save his life. She sacrificed herself so that it would draw attention away from the train, letting that dude escape.

He was saying he liked the fact that the movie was set in the past, and the fact that the crappy twist ending made it present day is what ruined it.

I agree.
SPOILER WARNING FOR HIGH TENSION!!
If it simply ended with the girl screaming into the sky after killing the fat french man, the movie would have been a true classic.
It would have left a bitter/bad taste in your mouth....burning all of the diturbing images into your brain.
NO CHEESY PLOT TWIST TO ERASE EVERYTING WHICH CAME BEFORE IT.

As Silver Shamrock pointed out to me earlier this week, it made no sense since so much of it was seen in the first person POV. She couldn't have "seen" the killer if she was the killer. Too bad. The pacing, etc in it was right on to begin with even if the story itself lacked because of "killer's " motives.
I should avoid this thread since I can complain a lot LOL

If you mean they sucked because they made you fell all queezy inside, then here's mine. I saw this movie called Series 7. It's about people being selected by lottery to kill each other. They're set lose in a town, and the last one left is the winner. It's shot like a reality/documentary show, so it looks kinda realistic.
Anyway, there is one scene where this old guy beats this teen girl to death with his cane in the middle of a mall, and everyone just watches.
It just didn't sit well with me....
