What do you think of Hitchcock films.......other than just the obvious Psycho? Jays av got me thinking LOL!

I think he was a genius! A lot were considered mysteries, but I think all of them were a little bit horror......loved the old Hitchcock Presents on reruns too!

Loved:

Psycho...of course
The Birds
Rear Window
The Trouble with Harry
Vertigo
etc...........

Thats it! I thought it was Camille Paglia at first but then i remembered it Du Maurier. Camille Paglia did like a remake of the movie in a book. But the Du Maurier one is the one we read in high school and it kicked ass. Thanks for the info Zwoti

I agree, The Birds and Psycho are two of my favorites, but Frenzy is the best. The music scores were also great. I also loved the TV series.

Freddy Krueger.

What is your theory on why they would all go PSYCHO?......little play on words.........

It seemed to have to do with the damn love birds.....but why.

Always bugged me.

I always assumed it was a "No real reason" thing, like the zombies in Romero's movies.

It could be like Kingdonm of the Spiders, where they were out for revenge (they were out for revenge in that, right?). Maybe a pathogen? something in the air? Solar flair?

Oo, here is a good theory, all birds do at least some navigation by "feeling" the magnetic fields around the earth, maybe there was a change that affected them and made them insanely aggressive....

Of course, something like that would also imply that salmon and elk would become violent as well. Maybe they did, and it just never came up in the story sicne it was set at Bodega Bay in california (My dad heard the stroy for the first time on a camping trip as a boyscout, to Bodega Bay. He was from Oakland). The other explanation could be that the magnetic effects only affected avians.makes you wonder, were people in other parts of the world attacked by ostriches, emus and kiwis? What about angry Penguins?

I imagine swarms of pissed off hummingbirds would suck as well.

Someone needs to make a modern remake of this, just to see what kind of weird shit they come up with....

What got me was the kiwis... Could you imagine the headlines in Australia? "Hundredfs of Kiwis killed by Kiwis".

Of course, in America, we would think they were talking about fruit....

Imagine the humiliation... Killed by hummingbirds. Talk about David and Goliath. Stabbed to death by hundreds of tiny, needle-like beaks.

Or killed by chickens. Or pigeons. Parrots would suck, they could cut off chunks. Of course, all you would need is some bullet-rpoof glass, and you could clear out an entire countryside of birds. Those little bastards never learn.

of course, all the "thumps" as they slam into it would get old after a few minutes.

LMFAO!!!!!!

I think Stingy needs viscious kiwis in his horror story!

Hey how is that going anyway? He hasn't mentioned it.
