I was bored so I went through the Member List (315 as of 4:58 pm EST, today) and saw how many users never post anything.
Here's some percentages:
.31% have posted over 500 times (One user, I wonder who...)
1.26% have posted more than 250 times (4 users)
2.53% have posted more than 100 times (8 users)
4.12% have posted more than 50 times (13 users)
8.88% have posted more than 25 (28 users)
30.47% have posted more than once (96 users)
8.88% have posted only once (28 users)
39.36% have posted at all (124 users)
60.63% Have never posted (191 users)
Does anyone know why so many don't post? Just curious, and I thought this was kind of interesting. Probably bores you all half to death... Takes you back to math class, right?

that happens a lot at other boards to. my only guess is that people forget their passwords and just give up.

It also could be because some people have a hard time jumping into conversations/posts ... I dont know why though. But it could be because this forum is not what they are looking for. I post as often as possible on this forum .. That is when I am not busy... :D so far I have enjoyed my stay here at horror.com how about the others that post??
Yeah. If definitely is hard to start a conversation sometimes. That's why I'm glad that more and more people are coming by. Eventually it'll grow even bigger. It has went from being only 1 person on when you get on to at least being 4 or 5 in just this month. Hopefully we'll double that soon. Then so on and so on.

"If you post they will come" LOL I dont know what is wrong with some people. I try to go to each thread and read the new posts and then post to what I want to. :) Someone mentioned about forgetting their password.. Why dont they just have it set to when they click on the site they would automatically be signed in..?? that is how I have it set...

How the hell do you forget your password??? I dont have a lot of time on my hands, but I do have a laptop at the dealership I work at so in between fixing cars I am on this or other forums. I think its hard for people to get in on conversations and then when they post nobody responds to what they say, and they feel alienated. Something you have to deal with I guess, maybe we should have a sensitivity forum, LOL Personally I dont give a s*&t if people respond or not. No one wants me running around in their heads anyway. They may become indoctrinated.

I'm registered at like 40+ different forums, but I only regularly post at like 4.
Mainly I forget about most of them, or registered, went to get my password, and by the time it came, I had already forgotten the address of the forum.
The ADHD doesn't help that.
*bump*
funny how this conversation keeps coming up - i wonder what the stats look like now?

how is it that you stumbled upon this thread?
out of sheer boredom (and the desire to avoid doing some paperwork i brought home to finish) i set my general forum browser to include posts from "the beginning" and then to "ascending order" and started reading through the first general forum posts and bumping up the one's i thought were interesting - - - don't worry, i'm done now (though i did consider trying to fill the first screen of messages with old posts from 2003 - then i got bored again)
