So, I'm not playing much RIGHT NOW, but I'm getting a few new/old games in a few days...
So yeah, what's everyone playing through?
At the moment (for once) I'm only playing one game:
(and I know it aint "new") STV - Elite Force
I hate Star Trek games...Apart from the ds9 game on super nintento, I haven't sat thru more than about a minute of any of 'em.
So, I'm into FPS games above all, and thought I'd give Elite Force a shot, thinking that it's still probably be a SHIT fps.
It's actually a pretty solid game...looks quiet good, has some pretty decent firefights, and a fairly decent (albeit star-trekky) storyline.
Anyone played this one or the sequel?
As I said, getting a few more in a lil while.
Crazy Taxi 3, dungeon siege (already played it, love this one), beam breakers, will rock
...and Painkiller, which I played a demo for, and looks fucking awesome, like serious sam gone horror.., only better, definately better. Still pretty linear, but in this games case, that's not a bad thing. I get the same feeling from this game as I did from oldschool shit like smash tv, or gauntlet...this game is constantly throwing itself into your face.
So yeah, what's everyone playing? And, have ya'll played any of the other games I mentioned?

Half-life: Blueshift. Trying to squeeze in all the original hl games before HL2.... i can probably do them AGAIN before it comes out....
probably pick up Undying again....
I'm gonna see if i can snag a copy of UT2004, that game is awsome.
Maybe i will hit They Hunger again if i finish blueshift and hl2 isnt out yet.....

What's They Hunger?
I know I've heard the name, but can't recall any other detail...
I liked HL: Opposing force the most outta the HL expansions - although that may be because blue shift got some kinda bug and quit on me 2/3 of the way through.
I wonder if they'll be continuing the blue shift or opposing force characters storylines?

Barney Calhoun is most DEFINATELY in HL2. So is the Gman. if you want, I know of a whole slew of places to get dirt on hl2.
They hunger is a single-player horror mod for the original Half-life. Think "Half-Life meets Night of the living Dead" With some return of the living dead and occult spread through out. It is amazing to think the guys that made it did it for free.
Go here:http://planethalflife.com/manke/
It has the skinny on it.
also, if you want to see some pics, I have a gallery on my site:

That was kinda like a sequel to maximum carnage right?
I liked the first one better, but both were pretty difficult...
What other games did you like on genesis?
Vodstock, so these are free to dl are they? I saw some screenshots, they have "they hunger" parts 1-3, looks pretty cool...is this like what used to be called a "w.a.d / t.c"?
Man....I'm getting painkiller on tuesday - cant fucking wait...

What, the one where you ride around on a sled, and set up your traps before the van arrives?
It was ok...a little repetetive, and not all that much replay value.
My favourites on genesis were:
*Zombies (ate my neighbours on SNES)
*Trampoline terror
*Streets of Rage 1-3 - #3 being the best IMO
*World Of Illusion - 2 player was fun...
*Flashback - Man, this game was all kinds of awesome...
*Landstalker
*Sonic 2 - The high point of the series.
*Shining Force - the music, the battles, the story...loved it.
*Soleil (does anyone remember this but me?)
*Maximum Carnage...yeah, even if only to play Venom...
*Earthworm Jim - everyone loved it, right?
*Revenge of Shinobi + Shadow Dancer, both great.
Man, the memories....you know, I have nearly all of these on emulator...I think I've gotta have me an oldskool night...
Cmon, somebody talk to me bout this shit...

lets not forget comic zone, ghostbusters, judge dredd, sonic pinball

Sonic SPINball? Was ok, but I preferred the series that had "dragons fury/revenge...etc" in it, for pinball games.
I DID like ghostbusters...don't think I ever got past the last boss tho, good game.
I also liked Midnight Resistance, and sword of vermillion, just remembered those 2.

I also liked devil may cry.
At the moment, just to update I'm playing through dungeon siege,
and call of duty at the moment.
DS, as most will know, I love. Nothing bad to say about it, easily replayable.
Call of duty is one of the most hardcore fucking immersive games I've ever seen...shit, I'd have even paid full price for this one....
Of course, doom 3 will have to wait for me to see more than 2 games I wanna play to justify the upgrade...but after that, it's definately priority 1, that's assuming half-life 2 isn't out by then, in which case, I have to be honest and say that I think it'll be a superior game, I'd get it first

"Blasphemer!!!! Doom 3 is superior. "
C'mon...sierra/valve have had even more time to develop HL2 since the coding got ripped off. Doom3 has already been released, so they have also had a chance to look at d3 and make sure HL2 is at least technologically superior. I'm sure doom3 is awesome, had I a new graphics card, I'd be playing it now, but I gotta say, unless they REALLY fuck up HL2, or make it totally unplayable and/or with a totally shit storyline, it should be as good or BETTER than D3.
I played maximo once...have they not made a sequel to it?
Just finished dungeon siege again, so I can really five into c.o.d now.
How do you guys go thru games, I mean, assuming you have more than 1 game just now, do you play through 'em both at the same time, or do you like to rip into them one by one?

nuthing. nothing at all. my computer has nopt been up in 2 weeks at home, and i still have to wait until we are done painting our damn office before i can hook it up....
probably gonna fire up They Hunger to kill time until i can afford to buy Doom 3, then cross my fingers for the eventual arrival of half-life 2, which i will play and then end my life, for it will be complete.
that last part was very obviously a joke......

Man, I think it was one of the best, if not THE best mario game.
I've actually been going through my collection of old n.e.s games.
I got a disk with like, well everything ever made, or at least almost...I forgot how many games I loved on that...a lot of them aren't very complex, but god, they had some excellent little rpgs...
Seeing if I can finish the N.O.E.S game...
Other than that, I've been playing allied assault, but, yknow, I've just finifshed with call of duty, so M.O.H.AA doesn't seem like it's all that...

I have. It's the first Star Trek game I've ever played. And believe it or not, I liked it. I have it for the PC though. It's pretty fun. I like playing online with it. I don't play as much though, because I beat one player (which was hard-as-hell on the borg levels) and no one is normaly online.
I don't really like many Horror games. I don't know why. Like Resident Evil, I hated that. I think it's because I HATE zombies. I like games like Sly Cooper, Super Mario, Star Wars BATTLEFRONT, FF, Kingdom Hearts, and games like that. I think that deep down, even though I don't feel at all scard, the games like Resident Evil frighten me. Or not. Now I like games that look real and all, but things like zombies or the game Fatal Frame: Crismon Butterfly, or ghost games just don't interest me. Now if it was a ghost game that was cartoonish, yeah. Like the Wario game. Those kind of ghost. But blood-thirsty ghosts that try to kill you don't interest me in a game. Although I do make some exceptions.
Oh, and for a more-subject mannor, I am recently playing Star Wars: Rebel Strike III.
