I just saw this movie for the first time last night. I liked it. Thought it was pretty good. Especially the ending. For some reason I love seeing the evil win at the end. The only part [actually I think there's 2 but can't remember the other one] that I thought was pretty fake was when the girl had her first adult night terror in the bathroom. When she reached through the mirror that black gunk looked like it would never come off, but after her boyfriend came in we never saw her hand again. I guess it didn't really happen? Anyways, what did the rest of the people here think about this movie?

I hated this movie. It wasn't as bad as Darkness Falls, but still. The writers never explained anything. IMO, after she pulls that tracking thing out of her head, they shouldn't have been able to find her. Am I right or am I right?

SPOILERS, YOU ARE WARNED!!!
I am with you on this Avenger.. I completely disliked this movie in a huge way. I wasted 10 bucks on this movie at the theatre. It reminded me a lot of Darkness Falls. It took a very long time for me to even get into it and I really dont believe I ever got into it. and is it just me but I didnt understand what it was about.. to me if you have seen darkness falls while really drunk then you have seen They... LOL

I'll take up for old Wes a little. You can't blame him too much b/c he didn't write or direct the piece of shit. He just slapped his name on it to get people in the theaters (which is almost as bad).
Yep. Alot of people have misconceived notions when they see someone's name attached to a movie. Wes Craven is a huge player when it comes to this. He didn't direct They and there are a few other films out there with his name on it that he didn't direct or write that he get's dogged for. I don't even know what the last film he directed was to be honest. It's been a while since he has done one hasn't it?
As far as "They" goes....I rented it once and couldn't even finish it. Horrible movie. I hate this movie and I love some of the worst films ever made.

That would be the lackluster Scream 3 "IN THE YEAR 2000!!"

Ya know, this is one of those movies that I liked and everyone else seemed to hate. Same thing with Darkness falls. Guess I've got strange taste.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, was this movie bad, which from reading everyone's point it was....Like everyone was saying the didnt explain anything.....Why did these creatures wait til they get around 30 years old, when they take them when the are between 5 and 10 years old....Why not just get it over with right then....Also I thought it was all over when she pulled that tracking device out of her head...This movie left you with no explaination from get go til the end... Man I wasted around 30 dollars when it 1st came out at the theater..

I didnt think it was too bad...not great by any means, but a decent way to spend an hour and a half. The lack of explanation enhanced the weak story IMO, and the effects were great. Good atmosphere in parts, too, especially at the end.
