Hey, since I saw Resurrection, I've had a plot fer the next 1 in my head. Im gonna share it, tell me what u think of it please.
Here goes:
John, Lauries son, hears of Lauries death, knowing it is Michael. So John starts on a personal manhunt for Michael, learning he was not killed at the house and escaping the hospital. The only thing to throw John off is theres a copycat killer of michael, who, in is own obsession, also begins a search for michael. This makes michael the hunted.
Well that be my main story. Whaddaya think?

I'm glad to see you dropped the part about John being a cop. I like it way better now. Maybe you should also throw in a search for John's missing nephew (Jamie's baby) as well to continue the storyline's from 4-6. That would make me happy.

personally i would leave out the copy cat, just doesnt seem to fit all that well, and even with Micheal Myers, we all remeber what happened with a jason copy cat

See, I think the copycat part is good b/c it could possibly explain the bastardization that was Halloween: Resurrection.

Baelin: you could drop the idea, maybe they will let you reserve a deadline to get a script/screenplay in or something... but chances are, there are at leat a handful of other writers going for it, so you should probably jump on the chance to get it sold.
There's dozen's of handbooks that teach you how to get your script sold/produced, so I'd suggest picking one of those up.

I've had countless ideas and it would take too long to write them. In short, Laurie survived in my plots and is in hospital, her son is searching formichael. Ends on cliffhanger of michael entering the hospital.
Following on from your idea. The copycat could be that guy from the mental asylum in ressurection. He became a full time Michael copycat after he was given Michael's knife. That would confuse the forensics.

Hate to break it to you, but they won't listen. Please don't take this as someone trying to rain on your parade...I'm just hoping to save you a little time and effort ehre.
Producers are terrified of unsolicited submissions, so they throw them in the trash in order to protect themselves from lawsuits. People try to sue producers all the time with the "they stole my idea" claim. And the prosecution always loses, because the producers know better than to read unsolicited ideas.
It's a fine idea and if you wrote a screenplay, they might take a look...but a story idea from an unknown outsider simply will not get read.
Now if you were to make your own fan film, that's a different story all together. That's one weird area of copyright infringement that the studios and producers seem to encourage.
