Please help, what’s the title ?

Hi everyone,
I’m new here and really glad that I found this forum. ::wink::
For quite some time already, i am looking for a title of a thriller / horror which I watched on TV in Poland, It was English spoken movie. As for the date, I am, sure, it is a movie from before 2001 and considering that it was aired on TV I assume that it was bit older.
So what I remember (unfortunately I did not see the movie from the beginning) :
- action happens in winter,
- The characters were stuck on a road in some wilderness in the forest,
- when they were standing next to the car, in a dense fog, on one of them is attacked by something that jumps out of this fog,
- The characters run away through the forest,
- they reach a house in the woods, they barricade inside, but forgot about the basement, through which attackers get inside,
- The attackers were low, probably something like dwarfs, and attacked with some spears, knives and bow if I remember correctly,

And that's all, I do not remember more from the plot, but hope that someone will be able to identify movie.

Please help, as I desperately want to watch it again.

Certainly it is no Wrong Turn, Wind Chill, Hills have eyes or Leprechaun.

When you say smaller people with knives and spears, it sort of makes me think of pygmies but that would be a jungle not a forest. Maybe google "horror movie with pygmies"? Good luck.

Thanx for reply. Yes it was definitely forest not jungle, but anyway thanks for the hint, I will google something like horror with midgets winter etc.
This I am not sure, but I remember that those attackers looked a bit like “evil”Ewoks , but this I’m not sure

What you are describing could be any horror movie on Tubi.
All have the same plot...some nerdy guys & hot girls in shorty shorts being chased through the woods to a cabin by something.
Wish they'ld come up with something new.
