Anyone Ever See 'Village of the Damned'?
Which one? '60 or carpenter's remake?
Just saw the 1960 British b/w one for the first time. Cool opening with the dome-of-unconsciousness. Wasn't as good as I hoped. Once they became children nothing new happened the rest of the film. Would have been better as a half hour Twilight Zone ep. So much more they could have done with it.
Anyone see the John Carpenter remake? Is it worthwhile?

I have read the book the movie is based on. The Midwich Cuckoos. That was excellent. And the 1960 movie version was very good though its been awhile. I think i glanced at bits and pieces of the john carpenter version.

I liked the beginning. I was really into it. Love these type of films. I just thought it coasted at the midpoint.

From what I remember the original was a lot better. Classic type movie. I couldn't believe Carpenter made that remake. I think I put the original on my list to own.
