View Full Version : Your Death

If you could know the exact date and time of your death, would you or wouldn't you want to know? and if you did want to know, would you also want to know how you were going to die?

Well, my opinion on that has changed many times, so this one is garanteed for only about 10 minutes... LoL... Anyway, I think I would like to know... It would certainly allow me to plan many things and keeps me from being scared about some more...

Anyway, I must reinforce that I don't believe anyone could know his date or way of death, just because I don't believe it's a determined thing... Free will, my friends... Free will.

I wouldnt wanna know because i want my death to be a surprise. So im like "Whoa what the hell happened" And so i wouldnt be expecting it.

I wouldn't want to know. Knowing would stress me out beyond belief. I would probably try to figure out ways to keep myself safe on that day. Then I would feel obligated to tell my family and friends, and that would stress them out.

I make sure to tell everyone how much I truly love them everyday. I will be prepared when my time comes. I would much rather live my life without a clue rather than know my fate.

I'd say no and no also.

The only reason I can think of for wanting to know would be to try to stop it from taking place and if that's an option I think we'd all probably prefer to know about it. Just my opinion. If we wouldn't be allowed to prevent it, then I'd say no. Surprise me.

The whole thing is very 'Final Destination'. Did you watch that recently?

No I didn't, but I have seen it and IMO it sucked.

I mostly just posted this, cause I wanted to see what people would say, if they had the option of knowing when and how they would die, what their response would be.

I wouldn't want to know, cause I'd be paranoid all the time, plus I wouldn't be able to live my life to the fullest cause i'd always be worried about when they day comes.

which is silly, cause i'm not afraid of death, i'm afraid of how i'm going to die. I hope to die peacefully in my sleep, to bad you can't choose how or when.

I think I would want to know when and how. That way, I'd be able to do all sorts of things I'm too scared to do now. For example, if I knew I was going to die 37 years from now from lung cancer ... then I could go ahead and punch that cow who's always taking a dump whenever I drive by it.

Or, I could go ahead and bungee jump.

Or, I could go ahead and fly on that plane without a stress in the world.

Or, I could go ahead and murder that ho who took my money.

Or, I could go ahead and walk over to my neighbor's house and tell them to shut the fuck up, it's 2 o'clock in the goddamn morning.

Or, I could eat that month old sandwhich I found in the back of the fridge.

Etc.

I can't get the deathclock page to load.

I guess that means I'll either live forever or I'm already dead...

Hmm...

I guess that'd make me a vampire.

Hmm...

I guess that'd make me a vampire. Sweeet. A real-'live' vampire. Lets eat 'em.

Well, that makes sense for me... I tell people what I should and do my best to keep my conscience clear... I'll be ready, that's a fact. But I'm still one of the most curious people I know... :0)... Anyway... "Untill that time when death won't wait/Let each man rage against his fate"

We did the deathclock thing, and it has us going really close together! Don't believe in it though. I think is is more to do with lifestyle and genetics.

I would like to know in a way so I could appreciate life more........take it for granted a lot, unless it was going to be horrible as in say...Don't Look Now!

Well, the guy who owns the Deathclock admits it's not really accurate... But it's fun anyway! :0)

You're right, I guess, most people take life for granted most of the time... Isn't it kinda sad that sometimes it's necessary that something really bad happen for someone to start to really value life as it should be valued?
