Yeah, it's on The Jester Race isn't it? I get the song titles confused because I mainly know them by track number. In Flames is one of the best bands in the world though. Those guys play guitar like nobody's business.

how can they go wrong? two guitar players making riffs and slides like no other, i had the honor of seing them live last year, great guys, great live band, they had the whole crowd jumping like mad (i accidentaly bounced 3-4 times on someones foot)
not sure witch track it is but december flower is on jester race, it may even have some of the bes guitars iv ever heard on any cd

avenger00soul

I'd love to see them live. IMO, each CD they release is better than the last one. Those guys are constantly improving.

moonsorrow

imo (i finaly got to use that word...im so proud) it gets worse and worse by each cd, thats why it astounds me that theyr latest cd is still so damn good, they peaked at jester race

Preferences
Classic Rock: LedZep, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Who, KISS, etc.
Metal: AC/DC, Metallica, etc.
Nu-Metal: Rage, Audioslave, System, and most definately and positively nothing that remotely sounds like Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park... just awful... awful, awful, AWFUL! Awful like Offal!
Oh and anything funky, specifically: P-Funk (but that's for when I'm in a good mood)

I have a huge list of others... but my brain is fried from working today, so they're just not there... I know avenger said a lot of them... Like Anthrax and Fu Manchu

Oh well...

Wow, glad to see someone else likes Fu Manchu. I wouldn't classify Audioslave as Nu-metal. They are just way too good for that.

I am metalhead too. My favourite bands are: Morbid Angel, Vader, Behemoth, Dies Irae, Anthrax, Slayer, Judas Priest. I like progresssive rock bands like King Crimson (first of all) and Camel. This is small part of my preference's list. Just like moonsorrow I hate nu - metal.Who think up that stupid name? Hail to metalheads!

Who know bands take advantage of horror movies?? I know King Diamond, many grind metal bands and Rob Zombie.

I would have to say I am a metalhead/headbanger. I prefer death metal over any other type of metal. Fav bands are: Mortician, Ghoul, Frightmare, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Nunslaughter, Skinless, Morbid Angel, Necrophagia, Superjoint Ritual, Mayhem (when Dead was the vocalist .RIP Dead), Emperor, Avulsed, and many many more.. I really like gore metal, and I like Black metal.. But I prefer the old type of black meta.. not this commercialized shit.. Immortal, Dark Funeral, Ancient, etc... I like all their older albums...

moonsorrow
10-18-2003, 04:24 PM
in that case the latest old mans child album must have been just up your alley

Ritualistic
10-18-2003, 05:02 PM
No not actually... I prefer Old Man`s Child first two albums.. I just like the raw/cold black metal...

moonsorrow

each to his/her own taste i guess... i must say i envy galder though, he made 3 albums by himself, takes alot of tallent to master all those intruments.
a bigger genius then mozart perhaps?

I heard new dimmu borgir's album. I think it is very good album. In my opinion they worked on this album very hard. Amazing symphonic sound, great guitar and very good Shagrath's vocals. Norwegian's music scene is strong and awesome. Another good album from north.

moonsorrow
10-19-2003, 05:24 AM

I am also in the ranks of the metal heads. I am sad to not see anything about Six Feet Under. Maybe im in the minority on this one but i think they are awsome. I had the privlige to see them along with many other bands like Lamb of God, God Forbid, and about 7 other bands.

I am glad to see that Cradle of Filth was mentioned along with Killswitch Engage

Rock On!!!

Zombie, Ministry, KMFDM, Slayer, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Venom, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, any british metal, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Godsmack, Megadeth, Doors, Pink Floyd, Rage Against Machine, Metallica(early stuff not that new crap) Misfits, the list could go on forever, I also like some classical and I think that Sting is awesome if you can deal w/the adult contemporary. Chris Cornell has the voice of a angel, Soundgarden was such a great band,Audioslave is good too but not like Soundgarden. I like Eminem just cause he is a pissed off white guy and is entertaining to see him shock people. I sure would like to hear more metal in the states, it seems like the best metal is overseas now.

UP YOUR IRONS!

I thought I had mentioned SFU in my post. but I guess not. Their new album is killer. Bringer of Blood, and Amerika the Brutal are fucking awesome sonngs. I am into Mayhem but I prefer their older stuff. Maniac is a great vocalist in fact all the vocalist of Mayhem have been great. But their new music just doesnt interest me. Sounds completely different.

I am also big fan of metal. I am into metal over 13 years. I love death metal, tharsh and heavy too. I look up to all bands which sound honestly. I do not pay attention to bands which cheat fans and very often changed genre...

Shall we speak of horror in metal and metal in horror?

shane diablo
10-27-2003, 11:41 AM
I( agree I like the feel of there song but I am not a fan of the hole Nu metal experience.I think she has a great voice and I do like some of there music I just dont know if I would buy the album.I get the feeling that Musically it all sounds the same.

Krzychu
10-27-2003, 01:03 PM
I ask a question. Anyone in this place opine that Deicide will be able to record good and brutal stuff? Glen Benton for many years announced brutal and awesome album but in my opinion each album since "Unce upon..." is disappointment... Deicide backwards??

I saw them live when they were on tour with Slayer. I loved it, but what really pissed me off was that they only played 5 songs, and all but one were from their new CD.

Ravenous has got to be their best song.

But for their best album, 'Burning Bridges' is the one you want.
