I love horror and crime movies and write music inspired by the movies.
Recently I released new album recorded in my home studio: https://shadowcreektx.bandcamp.com/album/shadow-creek

And here is the most recent record from last week (new Silent Hill theme):

Not bad. Kind of naive sounding.

Hello Shadow Creek! I listened to your music so I thought I could share some reflections about it. The "Silent Hill" is very climatic, love it. I have similar opinion about "Shadow Creek". My favourite track is "Dusk", I think. It seems spooky and I like the idea of adding the sound of creaking door - it was a good move. Another song I'd like to favour is "Farewell". I found it interesting because of somewhat witchy tones, had a feeling someone is creeping behind me ;)
The only problem I have with this album is that there's a multitude of different sounds which overlaps sometimes. I mean, especially in "Cabin In The Woods" and "Nowhere To Run". Besides, it's a nice tribute to horror movie soundtracks. Oozing with atmosphere as if it was made in old days to accompany some great scary flicks. Keep it up! ::wink::

Thanks a lot Maila! This is quite a deep review.
Actually Nowhere To Run is still my favorite. I recorded it on a very basic 4-track cassette tape machine which I already replaced with more advanced piece of equipment. I am constantly working on better recording/mixing techniques. I think I could have done much better mixing on Farewell. Maybe I will revisit it one day.
Currently I am working on something new. It's going to be more pop oriented, but with some horror stuff as well.

BTW, this is one of my recent records.
It's not a horror music, more on dramatic side. But it can be used in horror movie context. https://youtu.be/G8UGxMr2G3Y

I'm always on the look out for music to listen to while writing horror stories. THis could be useful.

Hello friends!
I'm back with the new album 'Playing With Fire' (2020).
It's more pop oriented, however tracks 'Midnight' and 'Run' are definitely a horror music.

Who's singing on the album (Fire, etc)? Who's on the cover of the (Fire) album? That you in both cases? I really like the cover photo: rich effective lighting, attractive and evocative composition.

Thanks! I do everything except vocals: from lyrics and music to recording and cover art. Sandy, the local vocalist from Houston did vocals on the title song. On the cover photo this is Johanna, the local model. I took this pic literally in the backyard :)

The opening song (No 1) is based on the famous 2018 horror movie.
No 6 is based on 2001 horror movie. No 9 is inspired by the survival video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

Here is the first real video that I filmed entirely by myself.
