Detective #1000.
Like the titles "big brother" Action a year or so back now, this is one of the earliest (and perhaps only) full sized comics to turn #1000.
Amazing that not only one, but two characters have not only got this far without being cancelled, but also stand as the most iconic, recognisable and still most popular characters in comics and film today.
Here's your random fact:
Detective comics came out in 1937 one year after Action - though unlike Superman who had his debut in Action #1, Batman didn't appear until Detective Comics #27.
Wonder if there'll be any special "#1027" issues then...probably not but I'll keep an eye on it...if it's something interesting I might jump on it.
I've got set aside 3 standard covers
All the variants
Two of the Kings Comics exclusive variants which again, I'm having signed by the cover artist and inker today.
This will make a nice companion piece to the ACTION #1000 stuff I've got.
Pictures to follow...just...later.
