This is why every country needs Rank Choice (Instant-runoff) voting!

That's where when you go to the voting booth to vote you can rank your choices 1st, 2nd, 3rd. For instance, you could vote for:

1st: Ralph Nader, Green Party
2nd: Al Gore, Democrat Party
3rd: Pat Buchanan, Reform Party of the United States of America

Then if Ralph is forsaken, your vote goes to Al of the Democrat-Republican Party, if Al has less the Buchanan and Bush, then your vote goes for Pat.

Oh, of course not for this. I was just using this poll to promote Rank-Choice (Run Off) voting. Support it everywhere.

It's the kind of voting election-monopolies don't want... i.e. most establishment Repubs and Dems.

And some people get so hungup on the voting for "3rd parties" because, as they say, 'you're throwing your vote away', or 'it's like you're really voting for the 'other' Republican/Democrat', whichever they're opposed to. Not so with Rank-choice elections. It's unfettered democratic elections.

That's what I mean. We don't really have enough people to do stuff like this and keep it interesting. I remember a few years ago there was a lot of people here and I got to post a horror draft and had a blast doing that. why don't you ask the lady who is in the ad man on all the other message boards to send some of her peeps this way, but then again they wouldn't be able to get away with this shit here they can get away with elsewhere. ::big grin::
