My brother will have a son in two weeks. I want to make a gift. What should I buy for a newborn?
I read an article https://omega-center.org/are-you-worried-about-the-comfort-and-security-of-your-kid-while-selecting-the-best-infant-swing-we-are-here-to-help-you-choose-the-most-convenient-and-safe-gift/ about baby swings.
Do you think I need to buy one or choose something else??

No point grabbing too many moving/mobility based toys right now.
You want useful?
A small plush toy, nothing flashy.
MANY washcloths.
A few onesies.
Buy some stuff for the mother. Snacks. Easily accessible energy.
You want something big?
Buy them a nebuliser, they'll probably need it at some point. Helps a LOT with congestion if/when they get sick.
Tit pump.
If they don't have one, a bottle sterilizer for when the kid gets onto formula or bottled breastmilk.
All the best to you and yours with the kid.

Diapers (disposable or cloth) and baby wipes.

How ironic because my brother is having a baby too and we are expecting her to be born in August.
For the baby shower I bought a pretty baby blanket. I was told that toys aren't really important for a newborn baby but things like diapers, blankets, baby formula, and gifts for the mom are best.
