Need good horror recommendations that are available on Netflix. Don't wanna watch halfway through a movie and realize it's horrible.

Great question, creepsweep, I'm always wanting to ask that myself.
Thanks for the recommendations, DBAD!
I can second the rec on The Invitation, felt very fresh, interesting and well played to me, but I know more than one person who didn't care for it.
I'd recommend:
The Sixth Sense
Jaws
John Dies at the End
Hush
The Conjuring
Train to Buscan
Silent Hill (if you like engrossing but vague)
VHS2 if you like found footage, anthology or extreme
I wish Netflix would go back to offering a horror classics set

Thanks! I just watched The Invitation and The Ritual and I think it's really good.
But The Ritual seems too much of a mythological horror though.

Sadly I think they got rid of all 3 V/H/S movies.
I recommend...
The Girl In The Photogrphs
The Gift (Just added recently)
Preservation
Back Country
Clown
Mockingbird
Pontypool (if they still have it)

If you like historical crime dramas then you might enjoy Lizzie Borden Took An Ax. It has Christina Ricci in it and I think she plays creepy crazy girl roles very well (she was Wednesday Addams after all). The Lizzie Borden Chronicles isn't as good in my opinion because they really twisted the historical facts up, but Lizzie Borden Took An Ax is closer to what actually happened during that infamous murder trial.

I've been mostly using Amazon Prime streaming for my horror needs. They have a much better selection, and a lot more obscure stuff. You can also subscribe to Shudder through Prime, which greatly expands your horror options.

I noticed that most of the horror movies on Netflix and Hulu are crap and it's always the same selection. They rarely ever add anything new.

Well... they have a ton of horror films, a lot new-ish, but depends on what you're looking for. I can't say most the films are crap because most of the ones that would be newer, and new to me, don't really interest me much.
Having said that, all of these...
John Dies at the End
Hush
The Conjuring
Train to Buscan
Silent Hill
VHS
VHS2
The Invitation
The Cube
Ravenous
...are films I'd recommend that I first saw on Netflix.
There's a lot more that were OK to pretty bad, that I wouldn't recommend like They Look Like People, The Collector, Would You Rather, Cube2 & 3.

I actually watched Cube on the SciFi channel years ago and it was really good. :)

Ever see John Dies at the End? I think it's really slick. It's kind of a mix between Bogus Journey and Evil Dead 2.

Quite possibly the worst written horror film I have ever tried to watch. I just love how the writers made the parents seem like they didn't give a flying fuck about the well-being of their daughter.

The Stranger (1946), written, directed, staring Orson Welles, also has Edward G Robinson. Very good. It's a thriller with some horror aspects.

I like "A Christmas Horror Story" with William Shatner, along with "Jeruzalem," "What We Become," "Zoombies"(not as stupid as the title sounds with some killer moments), "XX," "Little Dead Rotting Hood"(comedy horror that is meant to be stupid but funny, and is entertaining in that way), and "Bad Ass" with Danny Trejo, despite it is not horror. If you like the "Machete" films, you'll probably like the last one mentioned.

Evil," "Girls With Balls," "Don't Knock Twice," to name a few. ::devil::
