I actually really liked that one, most people didn't. But I thought it was fun. I have said for ages that I thought Spawn deserved a real, well funded, remake.

I read they're gonna do two more videogame adaptations: Shinobi and Crazy Taxi. With such a lack of original ideas I'm sure a new Spawn movie will be made at some point.

And we had Deadpool. There a sequel in the works.
New Wolverine supposed to be Rated-R. New Alien movie coming next year. New Predator in the works. There's still rumours about DC's anti-hero Lobo.
I think were finally getting more movies with a decent budget that apply the R-Rating when needed.

After how well Deadpool did, I'm REALLY hoping this turns out to be more than just rumors. ::shocked::

i don't hate the 97 but it is a bit of a misfire in my opinion. i don't think it was a good idea to make it pg13. i just think it limits a really dark and messed up story if it can't be too violent or crass. i mean you can tell a good story in a pg13 movie but i don't think spawn if the right project to be trying that. spawn is super dark and the movie just feels like a lame neutered version of spawn so it's not making fans of the comics happy and people who are not fans of the comics didn't like it much either so it's not really a movie for anyone. it was probably a lot harder to get the movie green lit with an r rating but maybe that will be an easier sell now that comic book movies are big business and an r rated comic movie has set a precedent proving that they can make money. spawn is a really cool character though so i hope this movie actually happens and does the story justice. ::devil::
