Hello fellow horror fans. I'm currently undertaking a research project for my degree in Film. I'm tackling the subject of audience pleasure and psycological horror. The films I'm discussing are The Silence of the Lambs and American Psycho. The particular question I want to know is - Do you root for the villain of this sub genre? (Hannibal and Bateman) if so why? What is about these horror villains you almost want to see come out on top? Any feedback is welcome!
