I completely agree with you. My favourite is The Beyond but I have tons of love for this movie. I think its exceptional and absolutely fantastic. Fulci RIP.

Is the background supposed to be visually warping -- as if someone filmed a copy off a screen that was twisting in the wind a bit on the sides -- or did I see a warped version? I really love this movie too! Funny how it was an unofficial sequel to George Romero's Dawn of the Dead but it really was such a great movie that it stands out on it's own.

The score is very effective. I like this and the very similar "Zombi Holocaust" film. Hell, it's the same lead.
