American Horror Story: Hotel

Did anyone watch the season premiere last night? I thought it was great. It was much more disturbing than usual. I also found a specific scene with Lady Gaga to be quite hot. I am already really liking this new season and look forward to seeing more.

I really liked Freak Show. It was a solid story and not all over the place like Asylum was and it had a good ending. I didn't care for the ending to Coven at all.

The first episode of Hotel really pushed the limits of what the show has done so far. I really look forward to how it turns out.

Hotel has the strongest and most promising season premier for the show. I can't wait to see how the season progresses.

On another note, I need to watch the entire series again. I might do season 1 this weekend.

Murder House was good but had a slow start, same with Asylum. Asylum had a good ending but the first half of it was a bit all over the place and had way too much going on that made no sense with the rest of the story. Coven was good but the ending really disappointed me. Freakshow so far has been the only season I loved from beginning to end. Heres hoping Hotel does the same.

I am getting excited for tonight. Evan Peters and the guy who played Dandy in Freak Show are going to be on AHS tonight. I am loving the look and style of this one so far. I have watched the premiere a few times now and like it more each time I watch it.

Did anyone catch episode 2? It was really good. My favorite actor in the series, Evan Peters made his debut and as always he didn't disappoint. I think this will be a great season but it is still too early to tell if it will be better for me than Freakshow.

ive still only seen the first episode of the season Hotel... its always fun seeing the returning actors and actresses in all the stories, loved that Lady Gaga is in this one, but very sad the old old lady wasnt in this one. Cathy bates NEEDS to be in everything from here on out... she is amazing in all she does.

Anyways, my bro and I were kind of thrown off on how extremely sexual and disturbing this one was right off the bat, and am confused where this story line will be going. Definitely didnt start off slow like some of the other ones.

I enjoyed some of the older ones, like the house, I liked the Cathy Bates and voodoo lady storyline in the witch one, and Freak Show was interesting with the characters and all.... this one I really am not sure what to think yet at all, besides... Pretty Messed up!!!

Episode 2 slows down a bit but it certainly stays interesting. Evan Peters, the guy who played ate in season 1 and Jimmy in Freak Show, is finally playing the sort of character I have wanted to see him play. Lady Gaga has more lines in this episode as well and you get to know her character more. Also the guy who played Dandy, the spoiled rich psychopath in Freak Show made his return. I have a feeling I might know what is going to happen with Detective John Lowe but am not sure yet.

I'm behind on this series. I only watched the first episode of Freakshow and forgot about it. I'm going to go back and watch that before watching all of Hotel. But I did watch Hotel's first episode and couldn't believe that this is I think normal TV. I don't know if FX is a normal channel but I know it isn't like HBO. I remember posting about how I didn't think the Friday the 13th remake went far enough. But Hotel is pushing probably as close as possible if not over what should be an R rating. I can't believe it was on TV. Drug use, sex scenes, nudity probably as close as you can get on TV, dark dialog, harsh gore scenes and photographs. And the topper is what happens to a man. I guess we have a similar rating system like in Japan where penetration is ok as long as it isn't a human that's seen doing the act. Or the person is the other persuasion. I was shocked.

Also I've heard of Lady Gaga before but never listened to her music or anything else. But in this she's really odd, out there, strange, and scary. I don't know where this show is going and all the repeat characters from the previous Horror Stories haven't even shown up yet. But it's something I can't wait to watch after I get back to Freakshow.

Just finished ep2.

I did not like any of the previous AHS seasons. I finished the first one, but barely. It was on while I was eating. The 2nd annoyed me right away. Coven I finished, but did not like very much. The 4th season did nothing for me. Sure the clown killer guy was interesting, but not enough to make me watch the entire series. However I did learn about those two girls sharing one body, forget which small US town. It was interesting, impressive to see how they functioned together and that they were treated, at least in the doc, like any other teenager by their high school classmates.

Hotel is interesting. And I'm enjoying Lady Gaga. Kathy Bates is always good, but the characters she plays are always the characters we really don't like. And not in a fun way. Her character, for me, drags the rest of the show down a bit. Right now what it has going for it is the strap-on driller, Lady Gaga, and the hotel's atmosphere. I'm definitely not wanting any drama like Lady Gaga's character dumping the first man we meet that she's 'turned.' The 2nd episode felt too much like a drama and not enough like a horror show.

Both of her two men, so far two, have awful hair. Like O-M-G.

Boss, I think Freakshow was great! The guy in Hotel with the weird pink hair was really good in Freakshow. I think Evan Peters, the guy who plays the original owner and creator of the hotel is a great actor and honestly deserves an Emmy. I also think Lady Gaga has surprised a lot of people, I know she has certainly surprised me. As for Kathy Bates I never hated her. I thought she was awesome in Coven. In Freakshow she wasn't my favorite but she wasn't anywhere near my least favorite and in Hotel she is just playing the role of an overbearing mother, which yeah is a bit annoying but hey, if it gets a reaction out of you then they are doing their job correctly.

I'm also enjoying the goth from the late 70's to early 80s in the background. Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Sure they're the big names, but still neat to hear them.

i also really liked the scene where they go into the kids room for the first time & how they placed it in the episode. CONTRAST. really felt like entering another dimension.

Had to give up on this. I've really lost my interest in this show as a whole. I really want to like Hotel and it seemed really promising but i just cant get myself to watch it

Hotel is an amazing season! Lady Gaga is clearly a much better actress than musician and all of the acting is incredible. Evan Peters, the guy who played Tate in the first season and the lobster boy in Freakshow, really deserves an Emmy for this season. It is darker than the other seasons and really pushes the limits for a television horror show.

I dont even think my loss of interest has anything to do with Hotel. After Coven and Freak Show i think i just lost my desire to watch the show. I know every season is different but it got to a point when i had to force myself to watch and thats a terrible way to watch a show

Personally, I preferred Coven. Hotel is shaping up to my second favorite however. Evan Peters is doing a great job as James March, and I was surprised he could pull that role off so well.

I just got to watch the final 4 episodes I had missed and what the fuck?!

First of all, what was the point of killing Queenie? I never liked her traitor ass and thought the wrong witch survived in Coven,, but what the hell was that? Do the writers just not like her considering what they did to her in Freakshow?

That whole last episode was completely pointless and came off like they were forcing a happy ending when how in the hell a happy ending could possibly come from that is beyond me.

Well at least this means Freakshow can still be my favorite season.

This may be the weakest of the seasons. I just finished it this morning. I didn't mind the finale. It wasn't too bad for me. Some episodes were great and others meh. Let's see what happens come October.

last i heard it was supposed to be Orphanage but who knows. The last few episodes were all over the place and some shit just made no sense like Liz and Tristan were suddenly together with no explanation to the point where they were willing to die for another. Way too many plot holes.

they need to start focusing on fixing their endings. Freak Show had a good ending and so did Murder House and Asylum but the ending of Coven and Hotel were so bad. Coven's ending wasnt really bad because of the story being all over the place like Hotel, but because I, along with many others still think Lily Rabe should have not only lived but became the Supreme instead of Sarah Paulson's character.

Hopefully season 6 will be better. Has Lady Gaga ever said if she will come back? I loved her in Hotel and the episode with her origin story was to me what got her that golden globe.

I watched the first few episodes, but then I got bored of the whole style-over-substance approach and forgot all about it. In fairness, it was still better than Freakshow (an absolute trainwreck imo), and Lady Gaga made for a pretty hot vamp. I think I will give it another go at some point.

The ending of the Hotel reminded me ending the ending of Murder House, but still it was.. a bit childish as for me. Although I like the connections, which creators made, with previous seasons.
