Cool! I'll see if any of these are streaming.
And the answer is: some are, most aren't :(

I have to admit. I never thought about a woman directing a horror movie. Glad to know they do! Great information!

Just an FYI, if you want Horror films to be made, you should rent them, they're like $3, through a host of mediums (DVD, online, etc), from Family vid, Amazon, Hulu, Googleplay, Youtube, etc. It's especially important to support independent films, where the film makers are left in debt... rather dick move to rip them off. I understand some old/rare films are unavailable to rent.

I do try to support films I want to see. But a lot of them while being quality still have the 'perfect people' actors and actresses. And often you have sexism, racism, stereo-types, etc. in the film; all of that rarely used intentionally. And then I end up paying for something that doesn't deserve my money. For example this year I've paid money to virtually own Motivational Growth, Shadow Zombie, and another film I can't remember the name of. I have a paid account to Netflix, Screambox, and I'm in the beta for shudder.com. However I won't pay to see films through amazon even if they're the only place to watch them. And itunes has always screwed up any computer i've installed it on. Also a lot of films aren't available to rent that I want to see. So then do I not see someone's art because I can't find a way to rent it? Its also difficult for me to go anywhere, especially in the summer so going to the theatre is rarely an option.

That's cool, sounds like you have a good sense of what's going where & your responsibilities.

Ty. I think it translates into everything for me. I try to buy used clothing only, or clothing I'm sure wasn't made in a sweat shop. Humanely raised and slaughtered meat/poultry/fish. Shit's expensive too. In the US we have the luxury of being aware of what we buy's consequences, if you make an effort of course. Its hard to stick to it all the time though so I don't get down on people for not doing so. It does dismay me though that people do very little in regards to their own awareness of what they buy.

I know what you mean. I'm waking up to some of those food choices. I've always recycled among friends/family who just don't care. It's not easy, but it just makes meaningful sense.
