What time were you there? I tend to leave early, once I've met the celebrities I want to meet, and shopped. We left around 2:00.

Aww, I bet we crossed paths. We were there from open up until about 4 pm. Had a blast, but it would have been a pleasure to meet you. Btw, thanks for sharing the pics!

Yes, it would have! I've only met one member of HDC.....well, he's a former member actually.

Next time I'll start a thread announcing that I'm going. It'll be the one in March.

Awesome! I'm hitting the October show in Maryland. Maybe some other HDC'ers will be there too.

Where are these events held at? I'd really like to try attending one. 8)

Cherryhill NJ was this one, the other one is somewhere else in NJ in...October? Just go to their website.

New Jersey USA that is.

The next Monster Mania is in October, in Timonium Maryland.
As of today, the only announced guests are George Romero and George
Wilbur. Roddy Piper was also scheduled to attend, but as you know, the Rowdy one left us recently. RIP.

Thanks for the link, Boss!

Damn, Hammer, I really wish you had mentioned going to this con sooner now! I'm sobbing at seeing the guests I missed. ::shocked::

Roi, if you've never been to a horror con, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It's horror geek heaven!

Roiffalo, I promise when I go to the next one in March I'll start a thread for it! And, I heartily agree with Repo'd, you MUST check it out! Not only for the celebs, but there are some pretty talented artisans selling their wares, too. My favorite t-shirt outlet (thanks to The Villain), Fright Rags, is always there. I've started collecting magnets, mugs, and glasses thanks to Monster Mania.

Love Fright Rags, Hammer! No exaggeration, I have around 15 of their designs. There's also a guy named Steve who we just call the Tshirt guy. He has an a amazing array of t's and will work out a sweet deal if you take a little time to chat with him. He's a very nice dude.

No doubt the celebs can be a highlight, but you are spot on by saying it's far from the only reason to go. I'm a DVD collector and I never leave a con without 10/20 new discs. I also love horror books, posters, lobby cards, creepy art, jewelry, clothes and a bunch of other stuff, and there's never a shortage of ANYthing.

I'm going to the MM in October (Maryland), and I would love to meet up with anyone else from this forum who might attend. Dinner and some horror talk sounds fun!

Thanks, guys! I'm sorry to say I never have been to a horror con. I'd really like to try one though. I work for a bus company and can get free rides so maybe I'll hop a line run to a con sometime if I have the money for merch. 8)

I'm always looking for great deals on new t-shirts. Would be awesome if any of my favorite horror artists were there to buy from too. But if not I'm always looking for new (to me) talent.

Hammerfan, when I saw you there, I threw myself on the floor in front of you and did a break dance spelling out the words "SCULPT"... but you just walked away like you didn't know who I was. What's up with that? ::mad::

If we ever do go to a con that we know others from HDC might attend, name tags/badges might be a good idea ::big grin::

Especially if we do Repo's idea, which sounds awesome.
