Hello. My handle is Roi. I have several friends (if you combine online and off), but none who really appreciate the genre of blood and guts like I do. I joined this forum in hopes of finding others who do and maybe make a new friend or two.

I love watching monster movies (werewolves are my favorite). I enjoy slasher films (Hellraiser, Halloween, and Fri13th series being my favorites, I can't pick a number 1). Also have a tendancy to collect and binge watch old films staring my favorites like Vincent Price, Paul Naschy, Claude Rains, Boris Karloff, and Lon Chaney Jr to name a few.

Didn't always use to like horror, my parents watch CSI and detective genre, my dad was a big monster movie fan as a kid but has since calmed greatly in that interest, so my exposure to good cult classics and the like have been minimum until I gained access to watch what I wanted too. But even so I still have my parents to thank. It was dad who got me into Poltergeist and The Exorcist, two more of my favorites.

Hobby-wise I collect skulls and like to dabble in art things. Have already started posting pics to my gallery for examples if you're curious. 8)
I love mixed mediums and experimenting with tools to see what makes the best blood effects without being actual blood.

Ah that's all I can think to ramble about for now.
Not new to forums, but this is my first post to this one. Feel free to correct me if I'm doing anything wrong. Don't wanna start off on the wrong foot.

Thank you all very much! 8]

Hey, according to Google, today marks 81 years of searching for Nessie! That's awesome! ...for some reason it makes me want to re-watch 'The Land Unknown'.

^ I might have! I watch about anything involving, creatures, cannibals, or asylums. Keywords I look for when reading movie summaries. Any recommendations?

I'll have to check out Deadbeat's recs. I've only seen Asylum Blackout and Cannibal. Cannibal is pretty icky though.

Here are few of mine.

Creatures:

Wer
Late Phases
Feast (2005)
Isolation (2005)
Altered (2005)
Animal (2014) (not amazing, but worth a watch and it's on Netflix at the moment)
Dagon
Splice

Cannibalism:

Ravenous
Omnivores
Dumplings
Masters of Horror: The Washingtonians
Eat
Beyond the Darkness

I don't have anything by way of asylums, but I too would like recommendations. I think the mockumentary Cropsey had a scene that freaked me out a little.

I seen a movie about an Asylum that I reeeeaaaally enjoyed, but can't remember the name of. Sounds a lot like 'Asylum Blackout', but I don't think that was it. Had a group of people filming a movie inside an abandoned asylum and the spirits of the place drove them all insane? I wrote the name down in a sketchbook that I was drawing in while watching it, but I don't remember which one it's in (in serious need of organization with these things).

@ TF: Great, now that I mentioned the movie, the elusive title will forever haunt me. XD

Hey what's the rating on what we can post art wise? I drew some monsters but I don't know if they're okay to share cause of naked content (nothing pervy I swear, I just really hate drawing clothes 8P).

I can't even find any friggin' rules on this site. Can't say if that's a bad thing or good thing. XD

Well, I suppose you could try posting one thing to start and see if anyone objects to it??

Just say, I didn't see any rules ::wink::
